Louder, Clearer Sound

To help make conversations clear to the hard of hearing, the AmpliDECT 295 Photo features a loud receiver with up to 30dB of amplification. It's ideal for ensuring that calls can be heard loudly and clearly.

In addition, the handset also features built-in hearing aid compatibility. This sends a telecoil signal directly to a hearing aid, making calls as clear as possible.

How Does the BOOSTER Function Work?

The BOOSTER function allows you to amplify and increase the handset's earpiece volume for better audio clarity. The BOOSTER function can be activated by pressing the button found on the right hand side of your phone, adjacent to the display screen. Follow the instructions below to learn how to switch it on and off;

  1. Press the BOOSTER button at any time during the call if you need to.
  2. Once pressed, "BOOST ON" should appear on your screen.
  3. Then, use the volume buttons on the base to adjust the volume to your preference.
  4. To switch off the BOOSTER function, simply press the BOOSTER button again.

Please note: The BOOSTER function is automatically switched off once the call has ended.

Built-In Answering Machine

As well as making phone calls easier, the AmpliDECT 295 also features a built-in answering machine. With up to 14 minutes of recording time, it's ideal for keeping track of missed calls and staying in touch with loved ones. Messages can be deleted individually or all at once and feature a timestamp for easier management.

Photo Buttons for Easier Dialling

For some elderly individuals, it can be difficult to remember phone numbers or even look them up in an address book. To help make dialling important numbers as easy as possible, the Geemarc AmpliDECT 295 Photo features ten one-touch memories with space for images on the base unit of the phone.

Important numbers can be programmed for each button, and images can be placed on them. This provides easier recognition, eliminating the need to memorise phone numbers.

Can I Set A Distinct Ring for Each Caller?

Yes, you can set a different ring for each caller in your phonebook, allowing the user to easily identify the caller from the ring alone. Each AmpliDECT 295 handset features five standard rings and five polyphonic rings, while the base itself features five standard rings. This provides plenty of room for customisation to ensure important numbers can have a distinct ring.

Does This Phone Feature Caller ID?

Yes, this phone can display Caller ID, providing it is supplied in your current package by your service provider. It will store the last 50 numbers, allowing you to scroll back through your last calls for reference.

Does the Phone Light Up When Receiving a Call?

When an incoming call is detected, the red LED light at the top of each handset will illuminate. This light brightly and steadily flashes, clearly signifying that a call is on the line.

Can I Connect This Phone to My Internet Modem?

Yes, if you subscribe to a digital phone line from your landline provider, this phone can be connected by plugging the telephone cord directly into your internet modem.

Customise Your Phone with Picture Button Template

The Picture Button Template is free to use for everyone. All you need to do is upload your pictures to the template, print them, and then simply place them in your PhotoPHONE picture buttons for easier use.

It is not that simple to use for someone with Alzheimer’s . There are too many buttons to press to retrieve messages . The person we got it for can’t remember he has to press this button this button that button etc. Having said that the base unit is relatively easy to use

I bought this for my mum who, following a stroke, has visual and cognitive issues. The large buttons are perfect and it's great being able to put pictures and memory prompt. The squares are small and I worried it would be difficult to see but she managed no problem. It's simple to use, what I particularly liked is that she doesn't need to press any buttons to answer or hang up, just picking up the handset and returning it to the dock does this, this is a huge thing as it means she doesn't need to fumble around looking for the correct button. It also doesn't look too much like aid equipment, it still looks enough like a regular phone. I've yet to hear how she gets on with it but from recieving it and setting it up, I'm happy with it. It's perfect for what I was wanting.

I bought this for my severely visually impaired 94 year old mother. After I set it up for her, she found it easy to use and could see the numbers much clearer than on her old phone

This was a little disappointing when it first arrived, as I was expecting it to be much larger, It was certainly compact and a little lightweight than anticipated. The photo memory buttons were small around 2.5cm square and that made it difficult to print out and fit into the small photo buttons. This was purchased for a relative who has alzheimers / dementure, with poor eyesight and hearing and co-ordination. so whilst it had good loud ring tones and speaker phone, the build was not heavy or robust enough for my relatives purpose. It would also have been useful to have a full instruction leaflet in the box instead of just a quick setup, that only covered the very basics. That said it is a reasonable phone with the very useful memory buttons and would be perfect for someone with fewer disabilities and more familiar with using phones in general.
