Sizing Information for the Superlite AFO

The Donjoy Superlite AFO Brace is designed in both a Men's and Women's size to ensure all users are catered for. To find the correct size for you, simply select the correct gender and foot option for you from the dropdown menu above.

To guarantee your AFO will fit your foot, please measure an existing insole at the longest and widest point as demonstrated in the image below. Once you have these measurements, please consult the sizing chart beneath.

How Tall Is a Superlite AFO?

The Superlite AFO has a length of 270mm, measured from the bottom of the heel to the top of the Velcro cuff fastening.

How to Fit a Superlite AFO Ankle Brace?

To correctly fit your Superlite Ankle AFO, please view the easy-to-follow instructions below:

1. Insert the AFO into your shoe and adjust until the heel sits comfortable against the back of the shoe
2. Put the shoe on with the AFO laying flat against the sole
3. Pull the Velcro strap around the shin and fasten into place
4. Adjust lace tension and placement of the AFO until comfortable

Trimmable and Customisable Design

If you find your AFO is slightly too big for your shoes, simply take a sharp pair of fabric scissors and trim some of the plastic from around the toe area of the brace. Once finished, round off any excess plastic and insert the AFO into your shoes.
