Silipos Gel Care Scar Reduction Treatment Patches

The Silipos Gel Care Scar Reduction Treatment Patches are sheets of fabric containing scar-reduction mineral oil gel for moisturising and softening the skin. Designed to reduce the presence and appearance of scars, scar tissue, stretch marks, bumps and burns, these 2mm thick layers of self-adhesive mineral oil gel are applied like a plaster to treat the affected area.

Silipos Gel Care Scar Reduction Treatment Patches are hypoallergenic, washable and reusable, and provide a cost-effective solution to scar management. Silipos gels protect the skin from impact and friction while simultaneously releasing moisture-rich mineral oils that gently hydrate, soften and condition the skin without the use of additional creams or lotions.

Can I Trim My Gel Care Scar Treatment Patch?

Each patch contains a healing gel formula, it's advised you don't trim or cut your patch to size. This would likely cause the all-important mineral gel to escape the patch, rendering the product ineffective.

What Is a Scar Reduction Patch?

A Scar Reduction Patch is designed to fit over the affected area like a plaster. Each patch contains a unique blend of vitamins, mineral oils and emollients which are scientifically proven to reduce to presence and appearance of scars, scar tissue, burns and stretch marks.

How Does a Scar Treatment Patch Work?

This Gel-Care formula is slowly released and absorbed into the skin, treating raised abnormalities until their presence and appearance are reduced.

How Long Should I Wear a Scar Treatment Patch For?

If you're using a Silipos Scar Sheet post-operation, apply the sheeting to scars 7-10 days after your sutures are removed. Alternatively, apply once your wound has healed and wear for 12 hours daily for maximum benefit.

Application Instructions for a Scar Sheet

Applying a scar sheet couldn't be easier. Simply remove the adhesive backing and apply the patch over the affected area as you would a plaster.

Once applied, the gel will start to release and heal the skin underneath.

Delivery is free of charge on all items at Health and Care when delivered to a mainland UK address. Your order is usually dispatched by Royal Mail or better and is normally dispatched the same day when ordered before 2.00pm, Monday to Friday. For orders placed outside of this timeframe, they should be dispatched on the next working day.

scar reduction for exzema - silipos gel patches

Get rashes and dry skin on forehead. Put this across forehead at night than a cotton headband (the big type that can cover as little or much of hair), to hold in place - and in morning really saw the difference. Forehead soothed and not angry looking any more, partly I think because not irritated as soothing gel patch so not scatching either.

Moisture and protection in one!

I was worried this would be too sticky when I first opened it out but braved it and put it on my 8 week old operation scar. When it came to removal, there was no pain at all, I barely felt it coming off. The skin underneath looked moist and softened, so really pleased with the short term benefits. As for the long term, it's hard to say as I will never know how it would have healed/scarred without using this, but as moisture levels are key to minimising scars, I am satisfied it will make a difference to the end result. Gave me more confidence to have my scar covered and it has stopped people staring at my foot so much! As I used it on my ankle I needed to hold it in place with tape or bandage as it is a very mobile area but as the gel patch is quite adhesive, on a flatter area it would probably be ok on its own. Reassuring to have a protective layer for the scar too, especially if it is for an area that may catch on other things easily, for me it meant the edges of my shoes didn't rub. Really easy to cut to size and if you cut it down you can have a spare to use while you rinse clean the one you had on. Brilliant item
