Sheepskin Palm Protector

Hand contractures can be a painful and distressing condition, as the fingers dig into the palms and tear at the skin. With the Sheepskin Palm Protector, you can keep your palm protected while providing warmth and support to contracting fingers and improving hand hygiene. The Sheepskin Palm Protector is equally suited to clinical and homecare applications.

The Sheepskin Palm Protector is composed of synthetic sheepskin to provide a comfortable fit around the palm and back of the hand. A closed-cell foam separator ensures your palm is fully protected while providing a comfortable and warm resting place for contracting fingers. A touch-and-close fastening on the protector ensures that it fits simply yet securely.

How Do You Apply the Sheepskin Palm Protector?

The Sheepskin Palm Protector is put on over the thumb and around the hand, providing a cushioning pad for the fingers to curl onto. This prevents the nails from digging into the palms, while also keeping the fingers warm and supported. A touch-and-close fastening ensures that it fits simply yet securely.

Washing Instructions

The manufacturers use natural wool to create this product. This means it can be repeatedly machine washed up to 80°C.

The Sheepskin Palm Protector is supplied in a single universal size that should fit most people. It is available in left or right-handed versions, so please ensure you select the appropriate size for you from the drop-down menu above.

Delivery Information

Delivery - Free UK Mainland Delivery

Delivery is free of charge on all items at Health and Care when delivered to a mainland UK address. Your order is usually dispatched by Royal Mail or better and is normally dispatched the same day when ordered before 2.00pm, Monday to Friday. For orders placed outside of this timeframe, they should be dispatched on the next working day.

The delivery expectation of order sent via Royal Mail is 1 to 3 working days.

This is a well manufactured item, but is a bit more rigid and a bit wider than I was expecting, so it is not ideal for my mother's small and delicate hands

This is the second Sheepskin Palm Protector I have bought from Health and Care so that we have a spare one while the other protector is being washed.

Delivery was very quick and the product was just what we wanted for our elderly mum, over time her fingers have been curling inwards, we were concerned that her nails would start digging into the palm of her hand, this has done the job and makes it easier to cut her fingernails too!
