Repose Mattress Pressure Relief Overlay

Designed for both standard single beds and patient trolleys, the Repose Mattress Pressure Relief Overlay redistributes pressure using inflatable aircells to prevent the development of pressure sores. Suitable for very high risk users and easy to clean, it is both versatile and reliable.

Can I Use the Repose Mattress Overlay?

This Repose Mattress Overlay is suitable if you're at risk or very high risk of developing pressure ulcers. It provides effective pressure redistribution to prevent pressure ulcers, and is designed to improve your comfort when lying down on an existing mattress of a standard-sized single bed or patient trolley.

This pressure relief mattress is also suitable for users with pressure-related tissue damage, though clinical supervision is recommended for more severe damage. The overlay is suitable for bearing weight of up to 222kg when used on a high-specification foam mattress, or 139kg when used on a non-high-specification foam mattress.

How Does the Repose Mattress Overlay Relieve Pressure?

Low air technology in the overlay distributes weight and pressure evenly without losing shape. All Repose products feature Smart Valve Technology, which automatically ensures the overlay inflates to the optimal pressure. This pressure has been demonstrated over time to be the optimal balance between comfort and efficacy for pressure ulcer prevention and treatment.

Will the Repose Mattress Overlay Fit My Bed?

The Repose Contur Pressure Relief Overlay has been designed to fit most standard single beds and patient trolleys. When inflated, the Repose Mattress Overlay measures 1780 x 770mm (LxW).

Is the Pump Included with the Pressure Relief Overlay?

The pump is included with the Repose Mattress Overlay. This way, you can inflate your overlay and secure it on top of your existing mattress quickly and easily as soon as it arrives with you!

How Quickly Does the Mattress Overlay Inflate?

When inflated with the pump, the Repose Pressure Relief Overlay inflates in a matter of minutes. As soon as it's inflated, you're ready to attach the overlay to your bed.

How Do I Wash the Repose Mattress Overlay?

The Repose Mattress Overlay can be wiped down with soap or detergent and water. Please allow the Repose Mattress Overlay to dry before use or storage. Please see the PDF below for full washing instructions.

Is the Repose Mattress Overlay Latex-Free?

The Repose Mattress Overlay is latex-free. This makes it ideal if you suffer from latex allergies or find latex-based products uncomfortable or irritating.

Is the Repose Mattress Overlay Fire Resistant?

The Repose Mattress Overlay has been tested to conform with BS: 7175 Crib Test 5 (Methods of test for the ignitability of bed covers and pillows by smouldering and flaming ignition sources).

What Do I Do If My Overlay Gets a Puncture?

While it's rare that a Repose overlay develops a puncture, in the unlikely event of a puncture occurring in your overlay we recommend that you replace the Contur with a new one. There is no evidence to suggest that the same level of support is provided if Repose products are used after a puncture is repaired.

The Repose mattress is very well made, having a strong cover as well. It all comes in it's own tube which doubles as the air pump. You cannot over inflate these as the valve releases excess air. I would recommend one of these to anyone needing pressure relief.

My mum had a total hip replacement and was not able to move in bed. This mattress gave us peace of mind, that she would not develop pressure sores, and helped her sleep on her back. She no longer needs it, as her mobility has improved no end, but she still has it on the bed, as it is so comfortable, and literally, like sleeping on air.

Having an e mail to advise on delivery date would be great. It arrived at her house, and she forgot to tell me, giving us a delay in setting it up.

I got this for my terminal Ill husband who has cancer , he doesn’t want hospice care or bed wants to stay in our bed . Wasn’t sure if it would work with it being single going onto double bed , but what a difference he finds it a lot more comfortable and reliefs pressure off his back and bottom which is brilliant as he has to be sat up due to being fed through the night . I would highly recommend this for anyone having to spend long periods in bed .

I am very happy with the product supplied, which my wife has used for many many years to provide relief for her bad back. We use in when travelling on top of the siting hotel beds. It is superb. The service from the person helping me was excellent. Could not fault it!

The pressure relief mattress overlay is fine so far. I have used one for several years and it has made it possible for my old bones and joints to enjoy a good night's sleep. I decided to buy another as I sometimes sleep at a friend's house. Sorry I cannot give you five star rating . The reason being that it was far too difficult to open the cylinder. That the button to press just would not move. I had to borrow the strength of a friend with larger stronger hands and it finally moved and opened. I was on the point of returning the purchase or contacting you for help. I don't think it could have been properly checked at the factory.

The overlay pressure mattress is a welcome addition to my bedroom, alleviating pressure on my hip joints and enabling a much better night's sleep. Fantastic!

This was a "spare" - we already use one which is very successful (my wife is paraplegic). We understand that wheelchair athletes on tour have found them excellent and it was they who recommended them. We felt we needed a spare in case of punctures - the d*** thing is indispensable!
