Darco Body Armour Cast Shoe

After surgery or suffering an injury, it is vital that the foot is properly protected to guard against re-injury or wound aggravation. Specifically engineered to shield casts from moisture, shock and everyday wear, the Darco Body Armour Cast Shoe is a post-operative/cast shoe that provides protection for casts and bulky bandages.

The Darco Shoe is designed to be used as an everyday walking shoe which fits easily over even thick casts, while protecting you with its shock-absorbing properties to ease the road to recovery.

How Much Protection Does the Cast Shoe Offer?

This versatile shoe features an EVA unibody design, providing excellent levels of shock absorption and protection from the elements. This design is seamless, leaving little space for imperfections or damage to develop in weak areas. A built-in toe guard protects the toes and prevents debris from entering the front of the shoe while walking.

Is the Darco Shoe Adjustable?

Delivery is free of charge on all items at Health and Care when delivered to a mainland UK address. Your order is usually dispatched by Royal Mail or better and is normally dispatched the same day when ordered before 2.00pm, Monday to Friday. For orders placed outside of this timeframe, they should be dispatched on the next working day.

Protection of big toe

This was just what we needed. My 12yr old son had an op to remove his big toe nail as he had ingrown toe nail. He was very anxious to catch his toe while wearing the open toe shoe the hospital gave him so I purchased the body armour cast shoe, we put his open toe shoe in it as it was too big and he is back walking no fear of catching his toe.
Recommended.

I was introduced to these by a friend who used them after orthopaedic surgery whilst in plaster.

I have been using these since November 2018 as slippers! Slippers you say. Yes slippers.

I have neuropathic pain and will do anything to ease it. I first tried these shoes with some Sorbothane innersoles inside them to support the underneath of the soles of my feet. As most of the sides are missing from the shoes, meaning there is nothing squashing the side of my foot or toes where my pain is worse, and when touched it can increase the sharp burning and electric shock pain caused by nerve damage.

This is my second pair I have bought and must say it makes a huge difference. I would thoroughly recommend them..

Darco Body Armour Cast Shoe for broken ankle

Broke my ankle, hired a tricycle to go outside with along with the supermarket and realised I was likely to break my toes, so bought this shoe. Its brilliant, wipes clean, flexible to fit over a cast from foot to knee and does what it says on the tin. Catch is a fiddle but there's a knack to it which you learn. Toes have clearance for woolly socks doubled over. Good value for money. No regrets.

I suffer from leg ulcers and this has sorted out the problem I have with swollen foot and compression bandages. What a great idea. I have a shoe that fits so easily over the bandages and swelling. Anyone that has the same issues I have - this really is the answer.

Having been stuck in plaster cast and confined to indoors for weeks, this finally gave me the confidence to venture outdoors in all weathers, as I felt very safe and secure in the knowledge that I wouldn’t slip. It’s been life changing and is helping my ankle break to heal so thank you.

Has worked really well and feels secure despite being on the big size but then I only have size 4 feet. I did break the clasp when I first put it on but my fault for not reading the instructions. Has still worked fine and well with the protective cast cover.
