Geemarc Photophone 100 Amplified Picture Telephone
For many people, everyday activities such as using a telephone requires little thought or effort. However, for anybody with hearing difficulties or visual impairments, this can become a cumbersome task, as it can be a struggle to hear the person on the other end or accurately dial numbers. The Geemarc Photophone 100 Amplified Picture Telephone provides large buttons, visual prompts, and adjustable volumes that are ideal for easing the stresses of telephone use.
Easier to Hear
With an adjustable receiver volume of up to 30dB and a ringer volume of up to 80dB, the Photophone 100 can be altered to suit the needs of the user. The tone control can also be adjusted up to 10dB. This will help to ensure that conversations can be heard clearly, reducing the need for the listener to strain to hear conversations, thus reducing the likelihood that important information will be misheard or missed completely.
Visual Benefits
The Amplified Picture Telephone features a large dialling pad with bigger buttons. These are easier to operate than smaller traditional buttons, and will be ideal for anybody with reduced dexterity or visual impairments.
The addition of four customisable photo buttons means that they can be programmed with the numbers of family members or friends for instant dialling that does not require any input of phone numbers once they are stored in the phone's memory. Not only is this convenient for quick dialling, but it will also be beneficial for anybody experiencing memory loss or suffering from conditions such as Alzheimer's, as is eliminates the need to recall phone numbers or remember where they've been written down.
Customise Your Phone with Picture Button Template
The Picture Button Template is free to use for everyone. All you need to do is upload your pictures to the template, print them, and then simply place them in your Photo Phone picture buttons for easier use.
Is It Possible to Replace the Curly Cord?
This handset comes with a standard length curly cord with RJ11 connectors at each end. Changing this cord is as easy as unclipping the connection at each end.
Additional Functions
The Photophone 100 can be mounted to a wall, so it will always be in one fixed place and therefore impossible to misplace. As the phone is corded, it also means that the receiver will not stray from the main base. This fixed positioning increases the practicality of the phone for anybody with memory issues, dementia, or a tendency to become confused or flustered when the phone rings.
With the ability to programme up to four emergency numbers in the additional photo buttons, numbers for emergency services, doctors, or other SOS services can be reached at a quick touch of a button to ensure that help is always at hand.
Can I Connect This Phone to My Internet Modem?
Yes, if you subscribe to a digital phone line from your landline provider, this phone can be connected by plugging the telephone cord directly into your internet modem.
Can I Connect This Phone with Additional Handsets?
Unfortunately, this corded telephone can't be connected to more handsets. For this, we would recommend the Geemarc AmpliDECT 295 Combi Photo Amplified Corded Desk Phone and Answering Machine, which includes a corded and a cordless telephone, while the corded telephone base can be connected to four more handsets.
