Which Size Is Right for Me?

To find the correct size, measure the circumference across the centre of your knee (as shown) when standing with your leg extended straight. Then, select the relevant size from the drop-down menu at the top of the page. 

Please note that all sizes of the brace have an approximate length of 31cm.

Who Can Use the Neoprene Wraparound Hinged Knee Support?

This knee support is designed for patients with unstable or injured knees that may benefit from additional knee support, such as post-operative rehabilitation, tendonitis, bursitis, arthritis, sprains and strains.

What Is a Patella Knee Support?

A patella support is designed to help manage injuries relating to the kneecap. The stabilised patella feature is a a buttress or 'doughnut' which works to keep the knee cap in place, whilst the neoprene support offers compression to reduce inflammation and help manage pain. This is a low profile and discreet patella support which can be worn under loose clothing.

When Should I Use This Ossur Support?

The patella knee support should be worn following the diagnosis of kneecap-related conditions such as chondromalacia patella, meniscal tears and patella maltracking. Due to the compressive nature of neoprene, the support can also be worn to help manage mild sprains and strains of the knee by reducing inflammation.

How Do I Know if the Wraparound Knee Support Is Right for Me?

Following a patella-based injury diagnosis, it's essential that you find a patella knee support as they help to keep the knee cap in place. These types of braces stand out from other knee braces due to the buttress at the front, which is the raised area that stops the knee cap from moving around.

How Do I Apply the Ossur Wraparound Patella Support?

Follow the instructions below to discover how best to apply this device.

1. Open the device and place it behind the knee so that the wider section of the device faces upward.
2. With the leg in full extension, wrap the device around the leg and fasten the contact closures over the front.
3. Position the device so that the kneecap opening and the middle of the hinge are centred on the kneecap (Fig. 3).
4. Insert the straps through the corresponding D-ring (Fig. 4) and fasten the straps at the calf and thigh (Fig. 5).
5. Stand up and verify the correct position and fit of the device. Adjust the device positioning and strap pressure if needed.

How Do I Remove the Ossur Device?

To remove the knee support, simply undo the straps and contact closures, and unwrap the device.
