This back support is designed to provide relief for patients suffering from pains and strains in the lower back. The support must not be used by individuals for whom compression is contraindicated. It is ideal for lower back conditions that may benefit from compression and gross motion restriction, such as:

How Do I Apply the Ossur Pro Lower Back Support?

Follow the instructions below to discover how best to apply this item.

1. First, attach the SmartPad to the centre of the loop surface of the device. The narrow side of the pad should face the lower edge of the device and the silicone dots should face the body. Pass your fingers through the loops attached to the two front ends of the belt (Fig. 1). The pad must sit in the middle of the back.
2. Pull the two ends of the belt forward evenly and guide them one over the other: press the left side against the stomach (Fig. 2) and attach the right side over the left (Fig. 3). When fastening the device, remove your fingers from the left loop.
3. The device should fit snugly with high compression (Fig. 4). The SmartPad can be removed if desired. When fitting with high compression, make sure that it is comfortable to wear.

How Do I Remove the Back Support?

This back support is incredibly easy to remove. Simply pass your fingers through the loops and unfasten the belt ends from each other to remove the device from the body.

Washing Instructions

Machine-wash with a mild detergent at cold temperature (30°C) and air dry. Secure the hook and loop fasteners before washing to avoid damaging the textiles. Do not tumble dry, iron, bleach, or wash with fabric softener.
