It immediately tells rescuers how well compressions are being performed and provides visual and audible prompts that deliver instantaneous feedback, only the AED Plus ensures rescuers can perform the most effective CPR.

Every victim of SCA needs the best possible CPR to survive. Zoll's AED Plus is the only AED that helps the rescuer achieve the correct rate and depth of chest compressions during CPR. If a rescuer fails to deliver compressions at an adequate depth, an audible and visual prompt to "Push Harder" will be initiated. Once proper depth is reached, it is reinforced with a "Good Compressions" message. The defibrillator also displays depth numerically making it ideal.

Intelligent Paediatric Capability

The Zoll AED Plus can defibrillate children up to eight years of age, using the paedi•padz II electrodes. When the pedi padz II are connected, the AED Plus recognizes that a paediatric rescue is in progress. With ECG analysis developed specifically for a paediatric heart rate, coupled with appropriate defibrillation energy levels, the AED Plus can handle both adult and paediatric rescues.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest Information

The heart has it’s own electrical system that controls the rhythm of your heartbeat. Defects within the electrical system can cause abnormal rhythms, commonly known as arrhythmias. Arrhythmias cause the heart to beat irregularly or sometimes stop altogether, the most common of which is ventricular fibrillation (VF).

Sudden Cardiac Arrest occurs when the electrical system of the heart stops working effectively – the heart will unexpectedly stop pumping, when this occurs, blood stops flowing to the heart, brain and other vital organs and within seconds, the victim collapses and becomes completely unresponsive. Death will occur if not treated within the first few minutes.
