Product Details

NRG Morton's Toe Flat Semi-Rigid Carbon and Glass Fibre Foot Orthotic Plate

Specifically for use by manufacturers when building foot orthoses or surgical shoes, the NRG Morton's Toe Flat Semi-Rigid Carbon and Glass Fibre Foot Orthotic Plate is designed for combining with other materials to offer patients a reliable and durable support. It is provided here with a thickness of 2.3mm and with a durable construction ideal for use in the treatment of such conditions as turf toe (hallux rigidus), Morton's toe, and stress fractures.

What's Included?

  • 1 x Flat Orthotic Plate

As patients may often require only one foot orthotic, the foot plate is provided here as an individual only.

Who Can Use the Carbon Fibre Orthotic Foot Plate?

The Semi-Rigid Foot Plate is designed specifically for use by podiatrists and healthcare professionals when building a custom foot orthosis. The foot plate can be combined with other materials to offer the patient a custom orthotic or surgical shoe to assist with the treatment of such conditions as turf toe (hallux rigidus), Morton's toe, or stress fractures.

What's the Benefit of a Carbon and Glass Fibre Plate?

The NRG Flat Foot Orthosis Plate is manufactured from a high-strength blend of carbon fibre and glass fibre. This blend of materials offers high resilience, keeping its shape even after frequent use in high loading applications.

How Customisable Is the NRG Flat Plate?

Designed to be used alongside other materials to create a foot orthotic or surgical shoe, the NRG Carbon Fibre Foot Plate is highly customisable. It is easy to bond using conventional adhesives, and is also easy to fit and finish.

Can I Adjust the Foot Plate Using Heat?

Yes, the NRG Foot Plate can be adjusted using heat. The recommended forming temperature is between 210 - 250°C.

How Thick Are the Semi-Rigid Blanks?

The NRG Semi-Rigid Blank is provided here with a thickness of 2.3mm. A selection of other thicknesses are also available, which may be more suitable to the needs of your patient; these can be viewed via the links below:

  • Semi-Rigid 2.3mm Thickness: Thin and light design offers strong support with spring back
  • Rigid 2.8mm Thickness: Rigid support withstands heavy use without cracking

Which Option Do I Need?

The NRG Flat Morton's Toe Foot Plate is available in one universal style that can be used to make a foot orthotic for either the left or the right foot. If you'd prefer a foot plate designed for one specific foot, please see the NRG Contoured Morton's Toe Foot Plate.
