The Cryo/Cuff and Cooler Pack is designed for use on the knee. This can include use on and around the knee to ease pain and discomfort.
Does the Cuff Cover the Whole Knee Area?
The cuff is anatomically designed to cover the entire knee, providing maximum cryotherapy to that area.
What Size Cuff Should I Choose?
The Aircast Knee Cryo/Cuff is available in three different sizes. To find the perfect size cuff for your knee, please measure the circumference of your thigh, 15cm (six inches) above the patella (kneecap) using the image below as your guide.
Once you have this measurement, please refer to the table below and select the correct cuff size using the drop down menu at the top of the page.

How Do I Use the Cuff and IC Cooler?
For information on how to use the cuff, simply follow the steps below:
Step One: Prepare the Cooler
Connect the blue tube to the cooler and fill the cooler to the line with water. Add ice and place the insulation disk on top. Close the lid of the cooler and allow up to five minutes for the water to cool.
Step Two: Apply the Cuff
Rest the cuff on the front of the knee and secure using the top strap. Flex the knee slightly and position the cuff so that the knee cap is exposed through the opening and secure using the bottom strap. (See figure 1).
Step Three: Fill the Cuff
Connect the blue tube to the cuff. Raise the cooler no more than fifteen inches above the cuff and allow fifteen seconds for the cuff to fill. (See figure 2).
Place the cooler on a stable surface, the base of the cooler should be level with the cuff. Plug the cooler into a power supply and turn on by connecting the cord to the lid.
Step Four: Refill Cooler
To refill after use, unplug the cooler and repeat step one.

How Long Can I Use the Cuff For?
You can use the cuff for up to two hours per session but it is recommended that you leave a period of at least twenty minutes between uses.

How Does the Aircast Automatic Cryo/Cuff Compress?
Once you have plugged your unit in to the mains, you will hear the internal motor start up and power down every thirty seconds. Once attached correctly, your Cryo/Cuff will follow this cycle, providing intermittent compression every thirty or so seconds.
Can I Apply the Cuff Directly onto My Skin?
To avoid risk of skin burn, it is vital that you wrap the skin of the target area with a cloth or bandage or something similar, before using the cuff.
How Do I Clean the Cuff?
To keep your Cryo/Cuff clean, simply wash the cuff with soap and hot water before rinsing and leaving to air dry. This process can also be used to clean the blue tube and cooler units also.
