However, please note that it is not suitable for conditions including acute or unstable upper extremity fractures, with fluctuating edema, or for use directly over open wounds or infected areas.

The Deluxe Shoulder Immobiliser is machine washable in warm water using a mild detergent. To wash, close the fasteners. Allow the item to air dry at room temperature and be sure that it is thoroughly dry before re-applying it.

Fitting Instructions for the Deluxe Shoulder Immobiliser

Please follow the step-by-step instructions below for a guide to fitting the Deluxe Shoulder Immobiliser.

1. Fasten one end of the strap through the D-ring on the end of the sling that will support the elbow
2. Position the sling on the arm with the strap across the back and over the unaffected shoulder
3. Fasten the loose strap end through the D-ring on the sling
4. Position the strap pad on the shoulder strap over the unaffected shoulder
5. Add the waist strap by pulling the ends through the D-rings on each end of the sling and fastening the hook closures. If the waist strap is too long, the Y tabs can be removed, the strap length trimmed, and the Y tabs replaced.

Precautions for Using the Deluxe Shoulder Immobiliser

If unusual swelling, skin discolouration or discomfort occurs, use should be discontinued and a healthcare professional consulted. Be careful that the sling is not so tight that it interferes with circulation.
