What Does the DeVilbiss VacuAide 7325 Portable Suction Unit Do?
The DeVilbiss VacuAide 7325 is designed to safely remove fluids from the airway or respiratory support system. Using the power unit, it creates a vacuum (negative pressure) that draws fluid from a patient, through the tubing and into the container unit, for later disposable.
What Is the Vacuum Range of the DeVilbiss VacuAide 7325?
The VacuAide 7325 has a huge vacuum suction range, going from 50 - 550 mmHg ±10%.
What Are the Suction Applications of the DeVilbiss VacuAide 7325 Machine?
The large vacuum range – between 50 and 550mmHg – makes the 7325 useful for a variety of suction applications. It is most often used in primary and secondary care contexts for these three treatsments:
- Oral suction
- Tracheal suction
- Nasal suction
Please note: Only use this suction unit under advice or upon consultation with your doctor.

Is VacuAide 7325 Appropriate for Neonatal Care?
Due to the huge suction range of the VacuAide 7325 (50 - 550 mmHg ±10%), it is suitable for neonatal care right through to adults. However, please only use the VacuAide under the advice of your Doctor.
How Often Should the Bacterial Filter Be Changed?
Since the filter is designed to keep bacteria from contaminating or damaging your device it is vital that you change it regularly. It should be changed when any of the following conditions occur:
- In between patients/when disposing of a canister
- When overflow or leakage occurs
- Every two months, even if only one patient uses it
How Often Should the Collection Bottle and Tubing Be Replaced?
Both the collection bottle and tubing are designed for single patient use. As such, they should be replaced after each patient.
Are There Replacement Parts or Accessories Available?
While this device is made to last, certain parts (containers, tubing and filters) will need replacing for hygiene reasons, as mentioned above. Below we have linked to the full replacement kit we have for sale, which will also be addable to your purchase at the top of the page.
