The Donjoy Comfortform Back Support is designed to support the lumbar and abdominal area, which helps to promote proper alignment of the spine, while protecting against sprains and strains.

What Size Do I Need?

As it's important that you get the right size to ensure the support is as effective as possible, the Comfortform Back Support is designed in seven different sizes. Please measure the circumference of your waist (as seen below), and consult the table below. Please note that if your measurement falls on a size border, it is advised that you opt for the larger size.

The Donjoy Comfortform Support is suitable for post-operative rehabilitation and preventive care. The broad range of applications includes:

How Do I Wear the Comfortform Back Support?

To wear the Comfortform Support, please follow these steps:

  1. Centre the back pad in the middle of the lower back (please note that the narrow side of the back pad is the top of the support)
  2. Pull the waistband straps forward and secure in front. Secure the two side elastic compression straps on the belt ensuring the lumbar back pad is positioned firmly against the lower back
  3. For additional support, pull and secure compression strap from the left side first, and adhere to the abdominal section of the belt
  4. Next, pull the right side compression strap, overlapping the left side compression strap and secure on contact closure
  5. For less compression, loosen the side compression straps

Is the Comfortform Back Support Suitable for Use During Sports?

This back support is designed for conservative use and can be worn during during most everyday activities. It is not, however, suitable for use during sports.

How Do I Care for the Donjoy Comfortform?

To clean your support, hand wash in cold water using a mild soap and rinsing thoroughly. Once all the soap has been rinsed, air dry the support.

Delivery is free of charge on all items at Health and Care when delivered to a mainland UK address. Your order is usually dispatched by Royal Mail or better and is normally dispatched the same day when ordered before 2.00pm, Monday to Friday. For orders placed outside of this timeframe, they should be dispatched on the next working day.

My lower back was so painful put back surport belt on straight away I felt it

This lower back support belt is very good with strong velcro fastening and comfortable cushioning for the spine. However it is not perfect (for me) as it is rather deep and so goes up and down my spine a bit too far in both directions and tends to slip upwards a bit when sitting down. I bought a large size as my waist is around 35". I have had the same belt before in a medium size and it always felt a little small but better for the depth being a bit shallower. So I wear the larger one around the house and the smaller one when I go out as there is less chance of it showing (I wear it on top of my trousers but under my top). This is my 4th belt and it is definitely better than two of my previous ones.

Lots of stretchy material

My hip size is 45" and this support belt came up rather big. However it offers a lot of support when doing heavy jobs, compared to the ones sold in my local chemist which spring apart under pressure! If you want a strong reliable belt then I recommend it.

I’ve found it very difficult to find a back support that will fit larger hips, this one fits nicely and the pad in the back puts a nice amount of pressure in the right place. It’s enabled me to be able to have some relief from the daily pain in my back.
