How Do I Put On the Aircast Support?

To apply this wrist brace, simply follow the instructions below.

  1. Unfasten the straps. The middle and arm strap should remain threaded through the black rings on the brace.
  2. Align the brace with the green fabric towards the thumb and thin strap (hand strap) towards the fingers.
  3. Insert the hand into the brace, and pull it up the wrist until the end of the brace is just past the knuckles (the fingers should bend freely at the knuckles).
  4. Secure the brace straps in this order: middle strap, hand strap, arm strap.
  5. Tighten all the straps until the fit is snug and comfortable. The straps may be trimmed with scissors if needed.

Is This Wrist Brace Dextrous?

Whilst this brace holds the wrist in a stable and neutral position to facilitate healing, it also allows full finger dexterity, ensuring you can go about your daily activities. The stabilisers that help to control movement in the wrist can be removed, which is particularly useful if you've recovered from your injury but want continued support.

Is the Aircast A2 Supportive?

This wrist support comes with removable dual stabilisers, one dorsal and one volar, to effectively stabilise and support a variety of wrist injuries. A stay runs up the inside of the wrist to the palm of your hand, and another runs up the back of the arm and wrist. This keeps your wrist stabilised and supported, situated between two rigid stays.

Is the A2 Wrist Brace Comfortable?

The contoured design of the A2 Wrist Brace provides you with an outstanding fit and optimal comfort, even when worn all day long. The volar stay used in the support is malleable, allowing you to adjust it according to your needs.

How Do I Clean My Aircast A2 Wrist Brace?

This product should be hand washed in cold water with mild soap, and air-dried. Ensure to remove the dual stabilisers before cleaning (the stabiliser opening is on the inside of the brace).

Looking for Thumb Support?

The Aircast A2 Wrist Brace with Thumb Spica is also available for purchase. This support provides targeted relief for thumb lesions and other injuries.

Great support and quality

I have a small fracture on one of the carpal bones and got advised to wear a brace for 5 weeks. The brace I was given at A&E was pressuring my palm and causing more pain. I bought a few brands, online and locally. Aircast is head and shoulders above more comfortable, supports way better and really high quality. Also ordering online was easy, it arrived the next business day. Thank you.

Aircast A2 wrist brace

I am very impressed with the relatively easy fitting of this wrist brace & the almost total immobilization of the wrist, particularly useful during sleep! The doctor insisted upon my using a wrist splint prior to surgery. This is a very comfortable splint as well as a support. The only drawback was that it was left with a neighbour, taking away three valuable days of use.

Finally, relief from Guyon's canal syndrome

After wearing this wrist splint for just a couple of weeks the pain in my wrist has reduced significantly and the constant ache in my ring and little finger at night has stopped. It took just a few nights to get used to wearing it in bed. It's comfortable to wear, yes, it can be restricting but that's what it's designed for.
It doesn't replace a referral to an orthopaedic consultant but it certainly makes waiting for that appointment so much less painful. Thank you.

Generally very effective BUT the velcro strap needs a "blank" section at the end: as supplied once the middle strap has been fastened it is almost impossible to unfasten it.

I have been wearing this for a few weeks during times of physical exertion (gardening/cleaning etc) I don't know exactly what my injury was but suspected I just needed to rest my wrist a bit and support it when I'm busy, and fortunately this is working.

This brace really holds your wrist straight like a plaster cast. I found the metal rod over the wrist just dug into back of hand over time causing bruising. I just folded a thin sock and used this as a pad to soften the end. Lightweight.
