Oak Crook Handle Walking Stick

The shepherd's crook is a must-have accessory for countryside ramblers and hikers. A versatile tool, it is still used in traditional sheep farming today, but also makes for a great general walking aid for rural environments.

The Oak Crook Handle Walking Stick is an authentic crook handle walking stick which is handmade using traditional coppicing techniques. Made of strong oak and coming in shorter lengths, it is best suited for use as a walking aid rather than as a working item.

This traditional Oak Crook Handle Walking Stick is not just made, it is grown! The ancient technique of coppicing involves cutting back the source trees about a metre back from the ground, stimulating the growth of new shoots which grow to an appropriate diameter for a walking stick.

This stick is made from sturdy oakwood which is finished by hand to attain a beautiful sheen. The signature curvature of its crook handle is both attractive and practical, allowing the stick to be hooked around the arm when not in use.
