Display Screen Equipment Assessor Training 

This is a three and a half hour workshop for people whose job involves DSE responsibility. This course provides an understanding of legislation and best practice, it gives practical advice on undertaking assessments and rectifying areas that may be of concern. Assessments deliver more than legal compliance, they can assist in comfort, quality and performance of the individual.  

Who can attend?

All staff given responsibility by their employer to carry out assessments such as:

• Managers whose staff use computers and visual display screens
• Employers who provide equipment
• Staff with HR responsibility
• Facilities Managers
• Health and Safety Advisors
• Safety Reps
• Office Managers

Up to four delegates per course are able to attend.

Whay will they learn?

• Understand the reasons why assessments are undertaken
• Have an understanding of current legislation
• Demonstrate to the user the correct set up of their chair and desk layout
• Be able to explain the main hazards associated with incorrect set up
• Carry out a basic DSE assessment and record the findings

Where is the course held?

The course is conducted in-house and lasts for three and a half hours.  All delegates receive a certificate valid for 3 years. Courses can always be tailoured to suit individual or company needs.
