What Is This Classic Passive Hoist Sling For?

The DeVilbiss Classic Mesh Sling is designed for use with universal patient hoists (sold separately). These hoists are used to conduct safe transfers and repositioning of patients who have impaired mobility. Universal, or passive, hoists are perfect for patients with very limited or fully impaired mobility, as they require little to no physical effort from the patient.

This sling also offers a comfortable foundation for patients to maintain an upright seated position with ease. The fast-drying mesh materials also make this sling perfect for bathing purposes, as water is easily drained and patients aren't left in an uncomfortably damp sling after washing.

Who Is the Drive DeVilbiss Mesh Sling For?

This Hoist Sling is ideal for use with patients with limited or fully impaired mobility, but who still maintain good neck stability.

It is ideal for use with passive hoists in a range of environments, including for residential care and for clinical care. Using this sling alongside a patient lift reduces the amount of physical effort required for a transfer, and so is particularly useful for single carers who do not necessarily have the manual support they need.

Which Size Patient Lift Sling Should I Choose?

The Classic Universal Sling is available in a range of sizes, ensuring a comfortable fit for a variety of patients. To discover which size is the right size for you, start by measuring the user's body girth / waist circumference (as seen below), and their height. 

Once you have these measurements, compare them to the table below to see which size would be the most comfortable fit.
