Although wooden walking sticks are beautiful, they are usually quite heavy. This is the last thing you want when you've suffered from an injury! The Drive Medical Aluminium Underarm Adult Crutches are lighter than wood so you won't feel like you're lugging your support around with you.

The Aluminium Underarm Crutches provide you with additional stability and durability. With its double-extruded centre tube, the weight-bearing area is provided with additional strength.

What Are Drive Medical Aluminium Underarm Crutches Made From?

The foundation of these Drive Medical Crutches is aluminium. The area that sits in the arm pit is premium-quality plastic that is lined with two soft and flexible thermoplastic rubber covers that are removeable.

The grip point at the mid-section of the crutch is also covered with a thick thermoplastic rubber layer that prevents hand fatigue and promotes a strong, continuous grip. The ferrules at the base of these crutches are made with highly dense and flexible rubber.

Easily Adjusted in Height

For optimal sizing, the Drive Medical Adult Crutches have been designed so they're adjustable in height. The aids can be adjusted with a push pin, making it easy to alter your crutches' height. If you're looking to adjust the hand grip's height too, this can be done with a wing nut.

Comfortable Design

Both the underarm bar and the hand grip are padded to ensure you remain comfortable throughout use. These are free from latex, making them perfect for those who suffer from an allergy to the material. The pads are also highly durable, allowing you to remain comfortable whenever you use the aid.

What Size are the Ferrules?

These Aluminium Underarm Crutches are fitted with the Drive Medical 22mm Grey Rubber Ferrule for Mobility Aids. The opening of the ferrules have a 22mm diameter, while the base has a diameter of 45mm.

Delivery Information

Delivery - Free UK Mainland Delivery

Delivery is free of charge on all items at Health and Care when delivered to a mainland UK address. Your order is usually dispatched by Royal Mail or better and is normally dispatched the same day when ordered before 2.00pm, Monday to Friday. For orders placed outside of this timeframe, they should be dispatched on the next working day.
