Raynaud's Disease Deluxe Silver Gloves

The Raynaud's Disease Deluxe Silver Gloves (sometimes called Raynaud's syndrome gloves or Raynaud's phenomenon gloves) harness the power of silver thread to retain heat, making them ideal if you suffer from Raynaud's disease or if you're generally more sensitive to the cold. They're also great as gloves for poor circulation, and they can even be worn as glove liners for cold weather, improving the efficacy of both your silver gloves and your regular gloves.

The Deluxe Silver Gloves contain 12% silver fibre. They are therefore more lightweight than the Raynaud's Disease Silver Gloves, which contain 8% silver fibre.

Who Can Wear the Raynaud's Gloves?

The Raynaud's Disease Deluxe Gloves are ideal if you suffer from Raynaud's disease. However, they are also useful for a range of other indications. You may benefit from wearing the silver-lined gloves if you suffer from any of the following conditions:

  • Autoimmune disease
  • Blood disorders
  • Chemotherapy treatment
  • Diabetes
  • Immune system disorders
  • Infections
  • Finger ulcers
  • Nerve damage
  • Peripheral neuropathy
  • Poor circulation
  • Raynaud's Disease (primary Raynaud's disease, secondary Raynaud's disease)
  • Scleroderma
  • Vascular disease

Please note that while the silver fibre gloves are suitable for the above conditions, they are not available for VAT relief due to not being designed specifically for medical use.

How Do the Raynaud's Silver Gloves Work?

The seamless Raynaud's Disease Silver Gloves contain 12% silver fibre, 50% more than its 8% Raunaud's Silver Gloves counterpart, converting more of the naturally occurring thermo energy of the human body in to gently warming far infrared (FIR) heat. The textile fibres in the gloves are also much better controlled so that the majority of the silver thread is woven inside the gloves and rests directly against the skin, making them even more effective.

Additionally, the silver fibre gloves for Raynaud's also help with numbness, tingling and pain that commonly occurs where there is a constant cold. They have been designed to reduce perspiration and also have an antimicrobial fabric, making them more hygienic when compared to some of the other best gloves for cold hands. While there is no cure for Raynaud's disease, the Raynaud's treatment gloves can help you to better manage your condition, and they also help to dissipate and stop static charges to prevent sharp shocks caused by a build-up of static electricity.

Silver Gloves Top Tip

To get the most out of your Silver Fibre Gloves, our product experts strongly recommend heating your hands before you put your gloves on. Hands that are already warm help the silver inside trap and reflect even more heat, ensuring your hands stay warm and toasty when you're out and about!

Will the Raynaud's Gloves Work with a Touchscreen?

Yes, due to the conductive nature of silver fibre, these gloves will work with the majority of touchscreen devices. This allows you to use your phone and answer calls, all while keeping your hands toasty and warm! Please note that a small number of customers report difficulty using certain types of touchscreen devices while wearing these gloves.

Can I Benefit from Gloves for Raynaud's Syndrome?

If you've only recently heard of Raynaud's disease, you're not alone. Many people people who suffer from Raynaud's symptoms often go undiagnosed for a long time, and as such are unaware of the benefits that silver fibre gloves could have for their hands.

Raynaud's disease is a distressing condition in which the blood is temporarily prevented from reaching the fingers and toes. In its most severe form it is very painful and in secondary Raynaud's ulcerations may occur that could become gangrenous and lead to amputation. If you suffer from symptoms of Raynaud's disease, we'd recommend consulting your doctor for a diagnosis, and in the meantime it's definitely worth investing in a pair of silver fibre gloves for Raynaud's sufferers.

What Do The Silver Gloves Feel Like to Wear?

The Raynaud's Silver Gloves are made from fine combed cotton and pure natural silver fibres, making them soft and comfortable gloves for Raynaud's sufferers. As they shape to your hands, wrists, and fingers with ease, they allow you to keep your hands feeling warm without compromise to your dexterity.  The cosy cuffs have a finish that protects the integrity of the gloves so you can wear them in comfort time and time again.

Can I Drive in The Silver Gloves?

The Raynaud's Silver Gloves can be worn while driving. We would, however, recommend ensuring that you are comfortable before using the gloves for this purpose.

Are These Good Typing Gloves?

As the silver fibre gloves conform to your hands well and don't reduce your dexterity, they're perfectly fine as typing gloves for cold hands. If you do find that typing while wearing gloves is uncomfortable, then the Raynaud's Disease Fingerless Silver Gloves may be a better choice.

Are These the Warmest Gloves for Raynaud's Disease?

If you're looking for ways of how to keep hands warm, then it's natural that you'll want the best thermal gloves around. As the silver gloves retain and reflect the natural heat of your hands, these provide as much warmth as your hands! Therefore, we recommend warming up your hands before you put the gloves on. This can be done before you leave the house, or even when you're out and about with pocket-sized electronic heat such as the Double-Sided HotRox.

Can These Be Worn As Scleroderma Gloves?

While we consider the silver fibre gloves to be one of the best gloves for Raynaud's disease, they can also be worn as scleroderma gloves. Scleroderma is a disease affecting the connective tissue, causing hard skin and also affecting internal organs.

As a result of the impact on internal organs, blood supply may become damaged. While the silver fibre gloves would not provide a cure, wearing them for scleroderma will help to encourage blood flow in the hands, which in turn helps to improve natural warmth.

Can I Wear These As Peripheral Neuropathy Gloves?

Peripheral neuropathy to the hands and fingers can be caused by a variety of precipitating factors, including chemotherapy treatment, diabetes, and infections where the pain of nerve damage and finger ulcers can affect both genders of all ages. As sufferers are greatly hindered by persistent cold weather, the silver fibre Raynaud's gloves can be worn as peripheral neuropathy gloves for improved hand heat retention.

Can I Wear These As Lupus Gloves?

Many individuals with lupus develop secondary Raynaud's disease as a result of inflamed nerves or blood vessels. As a result, the Raynaud's gloves may help to reduce such symptoms for individuals with lupus, making them suitable as lupus gloves when a Raynaud's attack has been triggered.

Can These Be Worn As Rheumatoid Arthritis Gloves?

The silver fibre gloves can be worn as rheumatoid arthritis gloves in cases where the condition has triggered a Raynaud's attack. However, for more supportive thermal gloves for arthritis, we recommend the Thermoskin Arthritis Gloves, which help to boost circulation while offering gentle compression to ease pain.

Can I Wear These as Gloves for White Finger?

White finger, also known as vibration white finger (VWF) or hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS), occurs following continuous use of vibration equipment. The symptoms for this form of secondary Raynaud's can be reduced with the silver fibre gloves, but for ongoing management we recommend the Raynaud's Disease Anti-Vibration Gloves for Vibration White Finger.

As some reviews have highlighted, these gloves are very thin and so aren't the most robust, but are designed to provide warmth and dexterity in the shape of a nice glove you could wear to the pub.

I find them warm enough for average uk autumn/winter temperatures and when it's colder I can treat them like a liner glove and pair them with a fingerless pair over the top, and so still enable dexterity, or wear a mit over the top. This flexibility suits me well.

As mentioned, they are quite thin, so advise that they're not relied on for dealing with repeated rough items, but I'd struggle to find one glove that covers all my needs, so this is a great addition to my stock.

I've probably had 4 or 5 of these over the years, and am consistently happy with the product.

Sadly, they didn't work for me. I feel the cold passing through the fabric., and they don't help to retain the heat on my hands.

I work shifts and am outside a lot for my job. I bought the gloves as I have always had cold hands and wear them and they have kept my hands warm. Will use them as a inner lining when the weather gets colder.

Bought these for my father who suffers with Raynaud’s and he’s really pleased with them. Loves the fact that he can still use his tablet without having to wear fingerless gloves!!

I bought a pair of these (XS) and I'd say sizing is accurate. However, the quality is not great and the gloves aren't much warmer than others I've had. A bit disappointed with the product.

The gloves are tiny and start to slide down my hands when wearing them on their own. They also snag easily when putting on/taking off and are very thin, so I doubt they will last. I have put them on under ski mittens (after warming the gloves and my hands first) but my hands just get progressively colder, so no improvement for my Raynauds. Poor quality and value.

Good but poor fit
Rating:

My hands are on the boundary of medium/large. I opted for the Large size and package said large/extra large. The gloves stretch to fit, but the fingers are not long enough and the gloves only just reach my wrist. I am disappointed with the fit and find it hard to believe that they are large.
For the best result make sure the hands are warm before putting the gloves on. Using a Hot Rox hand warmer helps to achieve this. Apart from the very poor fit the gloves do keep my hands warmer for longer, but would be much better if the fingers were longer and if they covered the wrist.
