What Is a Zafu?

A zafu is a meditation cushion that is either round or crescent-shaped and used to help maintain good posture during practice. It makes small adjustments to the geometry of your body allowing you to align your spine more easily.

How Does a Zafu Work?

When we're sitting on a flat surface, our natural inclination is to bend forwards with our shoulders hunched, which can lead to painful stress on the joints, muscles and nerves.
