How Do I Connect the Fall Sensor to My Landline?

Designed with convenience in mind, connecting the sensor to your landline is simple and easy to do. Hold down the large SOS button in the middle of the sensor until it starts to flash. At the same time, hold down the 'Find, 'Pair' or 'Bluetooth' button on your DECT device. The Carephone handset should then connect to your landline and the light will turn from red to green to show that it's ready for use.

How Do I Configure the Carephone Fall Sensor?

Configuration of the Carephone Fall Sensor is done exclusively through the Carephone app available on their website. After downloading the app, connect the sensor device directly to your computer using the provided micro-USB charging cable. Once connected, scroll through the settings to add contacts, set emergency numbers and configure periodical reminders. You can also personalise the experience by modifying the following:

• Ringtone sound
• Cycle repetition
• Ring duration

Who Does the Fall Detection Sensor Contact in the Event of a Fall?

When configuring the device, you have the option to choose three numbers to call in the event of an emergency. It is recommended that these contacts are trustworthy friends or relatives who live nearby in order to reach you quickly following an accident. The device will cycle through all three contacts starting with the first on the list. Therefore, it is important that the first contact listed should be the person whose most available and likely to respond.

Additionally, the sensor will contact the Hawkeye Security Care Centre on its emergency call cycle. This centre is there to provide quick, professional assistance should all of your own emergency contacts be unavailable.

How Does the Carephone Fall Sensor Actually Work?

When active, the Carephone Fall Sensor can detect falls with an exceptional 96% accuracy. Once a fall has been detected, the device will say "Ouch! Did you mean to do that?" and start to flash. If there is no response, the device will start cycling through your emergency contacts and ring them through your landline. However, if this was a mistake, simply press the SOS button to stop the cycle and prevent false alarms.

Can I Talk Through the Fall Detection Sensor?

The Carephone Sensor acts as an additional handset for your home phone landline, meaning that you can speak through the device the same way you would with a phone. With two-way audio, you can communicate directly with your contact to let them know of your condition, location and any other important information.

How Do I Charge the Carephone Fall Detection Sensor?
