Paediatric Multi Podus Pressure Relief AFO

For children who are bed-bound, be it due to a foot injury or any other condition, it's vital that proper support and pressure relief can be provided to aid recovery and help reduce the risk of pressure sores. The Paediatric Multi Podus Pressure Relief AFO has been developed to do both; working to dynamically treat contractures while relieving pressure on the heel and toes to help prevent pressure sores.

Dynamically Treats Contractures

To help ensure the best level of support can be given to injured feet, the Multi Podus works to dynamically treat contractures. It relieves pressure on the heel and toes, reducing strain on the injury and enabling it to heal more easily.

The AFO also features a rotational bar at the back of the brace. This enables you to control leg and hip rotation, helping you provide a more controlled level of treatment as needed.

Prevent Pressure Sores

As well as helping to treat contractures, the Multi Podus also works to reduce the development and aid the healing of pressure sores – ideal for children in prolonged bed rest. To ensure the best level of pressure relief can be provided, the AFO is available with a choice of liners – a washable Kodel (synthetic sheepskin) liner or a foam liner.
