Padded Hand Positioning Brace

Following hand trauma, surgery, or conditions such as a stroke, the hand can become dysfunctionally positioned. The Padded Hand Positioning Brace is designed to support the fingers, thumb and wrist in a functional and resting position. Easily adjustable without the use of heat or tools, the Hand Positioning Brace has a malleable frame that allows static progressive splinting.

Indications for Use

The Padded Hand Positioning Brace is recommended for:

  • Contractures following stroke, arthritis and trauma
  • Finger flexor tightness
  • Post surgery/injury positioning
  • Wrist drop

Please note that the Padded Hand Positioning Brace is not recommended when moderate to severe spasticity is present.

Comfortable Padding

The Hand Positioning Brace features a padded frame that has a cover lined with synthetic sheepskin and velour for maximum comfort. This cover is removable and washable in order to maintain patient comfort and compliance.

Sizing of the Padded Hand Positioning Brace

The Padded Hand Positioning Brace is available in three different sizes based on wrist circumference. Please consult the table below for details and select the appropriate size for you from the drop-down menu above.

Small 5½ - 8" (14 - 20.5cm)
Medium 6¾ - 9¼" (17 - 23.5cm)
Large 8 - 10½" (20.5 - 26.5cm)
Delivery Information

Delivery - Free UK Mainland Delivery

Delivery is free of charge on all items at Health and Care when delivered to a mainland UK address. Your order is usually dispatched by Royal Mail or better and is normally dispatched the same day when ordered before 2.00pm, Monday to Friday. For orders placed outside of this timeframe, they should be dispatched on the next working day.

The delivery expectation of order sent via Royal Mail is 1 to 3 working days.

The splint is very comfortable - I purchased it for a stroke patient with limited use of his right arm and he seems to really like it. It is comfortable and sturdy but I wish that it had more straps to hold in one’s hand. Also it came with finger slots but these are far too small to fit on anyone’s fingers.

This is a well thought out piece of equipment and does exactly what my phsio wanted it to do, i.e. to improve posture of my hand at night.

Fits well. Comfortable and works well to stretch tight wrist and fingers following nerve damage.

The splint is very comfortable - I purchased it for a stroke patient with limited use of his right arm and he seems to really like it.
