Homecraft Pick-Up Reacher

Ideal for elderly or disabled individuals with limited mobility or motion, the Homecraft Pick-Up Reacher is a great tool for grabbing objects of different sizes. The product can work either as a recovery or daily-living aid, helping a wide range of users carry out everyday tasks independently.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Rotating head holds any object
  • Large handle for strong grasp
  • Four finger grooves for extra grip force
  • Magnet tip for picking up metal items
  • Easy-to-pull trigger for simple use

Who Can Use the Pick-Up Reacher?

This reacher is suitable for a range of individuals, including the following:

  • Patients recovering from low body surgeries like hip replacements or ACL repairs
  • Elderly and disabled individuals with pain or limited hand strength (e.g. from Arthritis)
  • People with hand and wrist injuries

Ideal Tool for Recovery Aid

Moving and reaching objects on a day-to-day basis can be difficult when recovering from low body surgeries such as hip replacements and ACL repairs. The Pick-Up Grabber helps to maintain as much daily functionality as possible. The large handle is also a great addition for users with limited hand strength, as it enables a wide and strong grasp.

Quick and Easy Operation

The product is easy to operate, making it suitable for a wide range of users including those with hand and wrist injuries. The rotating head of the Homecraft Reacher prevents users from twisting their wrists in painful ways, while the unique handle has 4 finger grooves (instead of the standard 2) for extra secure grip force. This feature means you don't need to worry about dropping valuable items or causing further injury.

Probably the gadget I depend on most.

When I became disabled some years ago I was grateful to the NHS for providing me with several items of equipment which I still use daily. The NHS reacher (I call it a grabber) was however, totally useless, a plastic rod with little lifting strength and a flimsy operating mechanism that soon broke. I wasted money experimenting with many similar designs from ebay and elsewhere but nothing met my needs until I came across the Homecraft reacher, considerably more expensive but well worth it. I use the one by my chair countless times daily and keep another upstairs. Neither has ever failed me and they are robust enough to withstand my grandchildren's games. Recently I bought one for another room so that, living alone, I am never far from help to pick things off the floor, draw the curtains, reach a light switch or perform a hundred other ordinary tasks that are physically beyond me. My ambition is eventually to have a Homecraft reacher in every room and the garden but owning three is a good start!
