Facilities Management Legionella Thermometer Kit
Legionnaires' disease is a serious lung infection that can potentially be fatal. Presenting similar symptoms to a cold or the flu, Legionnaires' can often go undiagnosed for quite some time before being dealt with, making it all the more serious. Legionnaire's is caused by the legionella bacterium and is usually spread by the inhalation of tainted water droplets. The bacteria usually thrive in tepid water (approximately between 25 and 30°C) and water shouldn't be stored at this temperature to help prevent spreading of Legionnaires'.
In environments such as offices, hotels and other large venues, it is crucial to ensure that the legionella bacterium is not present in your water. Due to the complex water systems of these places, contamination can quickly spread and affect a number of people, putting both your health and your business at risk. The Facilities Management Legionella Thermometer Kit makes it easier for you to detect areas where the water temperature could encourage the spread of bacteria, helping you to avoid Legionnaires'.
