What Is This Patient Hoist Sling For?

The sling is designed for use with universal patient hoists (sold separately), which are ideal for safe transfers and repositioning of patients with limited or impaired mobility. A universal hoist is one which functions well for patients with limited or fully impaired mobility, and requires very little to no physical effort from the patient.

With the Universal Patient Hoist Sling, patients can be picked up from a range of positions. It is even possible to lift them from floor level to a suitable height for transporting.

To use this model, begin by comfortably positioning the patient into the sling, ensuring that it is secure and properly lined up with their body, and attach the sling to the hoist.

How Do I Choose a Sling Size?

The sling size that's right for your needs will depend on the user's weight and height. The three sling sizes currently available are designed to suit a range of patients, from 100 - 210cm in height and 30 - 100kg in weight.

To discover the size that's right for you, start by measuring the user's height and weight, then compare the results to the table below. If the measurements collected fall between two sizes, it is best to choose the larger size for a more comfortable fit.
