Suffering from hip and lower back pain can prevent you from performing everyday activities, and might even cause you to stay in bed for long periods of time. The Harley Sacroiliac Back Support Belt is a lower back support constructed specifically for pain of the hips and lower back, as well as pelvic instability and sacroiliac pain.

How Does the Harley Sacroiliac Belt Work?

The support stabilises the sacrum and supports the pelvis while also re-establishing natural movement in the joints. This allows you to make a full recovery from your discomfort.

Who Can Use the Harley Sacroiliac Back Support Belt?

Harley Back Supports have been used in clinical practice for many years for those with bad backs, offering gentle and flexible support while stabilising the hips, pelvis and spine. This helps you stay safe while also reducing discomfort in the area, allowing you to continue performing daily and sporting activities with ease. The Harley Sacroiliac Back Support Belt can:

Sizing of the Harley Sacroiliac Back Support Belt

The Harley Lumbar Support Belt is a unisex product that is available in four sizes to suit most users. Please select your hip size from the table below and select the appropriate size from the drop-down menu at the top of the page. The measurement should be taken 17.8cm (7 inches) below the waist.

Where your measurement is in between two sizes, it is advised that you select the larger of the two sizes for improved comfort and so as not to restrict blood flow. The depth of the belt is 7.5cm.

How Adjustable Is the Harley Sacroiliac Belt?

The Harley Sacroiliac Belt includes two elasticated straps with Velcro fasteners. These give you the freedom to adjust the belt as tightly as you wish.

Is the Sacroiliac Belt Suitable for Use During Sports?

The Harley Sacral Belt is designed to be very comfortable to wear, and virtually invisible under clothing. This makes it suitable for use during most sports.

How Do I Put on the Harley Sacroiliac Back Support Belt?

The Harley Pelvic Support Belt is very straightforward to put on and off. It consists of a synthetic belt with Velcro fasteners, and two elasticated straps that allow you to adjust the tightness of the belt. To put it on, you need to:

  1. Open all Velcro fasteners, and adjust the belt 17.8cm below your waist. The fasteners should be at the front of your body.
  2. Close the Velcro fastener on the belt.
  3. Hold the two ends of the elasticated straps (with red edges), and pull them to the front of your body. The belt should provide tight but comfortable support.

Is It Suitable for Use During Pregnancy?

This sacrum belt is suitable to wear during the early stages of pregnancy. We recommend you wear the belt as long as you feel comfortable with the support it provides.

For support during later stages of pregnancy, we recommend the Universal Maternity Belt, which is specifically designed to help relieve lower back pain associated with pregnancy. It is a perinatal support, meaning it is a back brace designed for use during the period directly before and after childbirth.

Is the Harley Support Belt Elasticated?

The belt itself is not elasticated, but the length can be adjusted due to easy Velcro fastening. You can, however, adjust the fit of the belt with the help of two elasticated straps, which extend from the back of the belt and allow for a tighter fit.

Where Should the Sacroiliac Belt Sit?

The sacroiliac belt should sit approximately 18cm (7 inches) below your waist. The top of the belt should be at the top of your hip bone.

Is the Sacroiliac Support Belt Discreet?

The Harley Sacroiliac Belt includes not inserts or padded areas. This keeps it very thin, ensuring it remains virtually invisible when worn under garments.

How Do I Care for My Harley Sacroiliac Back Support Belt?

The Harley Sacroiliac Back Support Belt can be hand-washed in warm water. Do not machine wash or tumble dry it. Dry it away from direct heat.

Can the Harley Sacroiliac Belt Help with Sciatica?

Issues with the sacroiliac joint can often lead to pressure on the sciatic nerve, which in turn leads to sciatica. Due to this, the Harley Sacroiliac Joint Belt can be used as a sacral belt, also known as a sciatica belt.

Delivery is free of charge on all items at Health and Care when delivered to a mainland UK address. Your order is usually dispatched by Royal Mail or better and is normally dispatched the same day when ordered before 2.00pm, Monday to Friday. For orders placed outside of this timeframe, they should be dispatched on the next working day.

Very good but Could be improved

As from reading other reviews, the red edges on the elastic sides should be rounded, as these dig into the skin, they are probably ok for the boniest people, but do become uncomfortable. To get over this, I took some scissors and rounded the red edges off being careful not to cut the stitching and this has made the product much better and so far has not frayed.
Apart from that comment, the belt feels good, seems to do the job, the elastic ‘arms’ from the back to the front can pull up tight and I think it will last a long time. Not washed it yet. So far it has not slipped from position. So I would say I was pleased with it now I have made it comfortable.
It’s a shame the factory refused to take this small improvement on board because it’s a real problem for all but the finer build people.

Good Price belt, delivered on time by good service agent. My 3rd belt in about 8years, I use it always when doing anything requiring a lot of bending, lifting or turning as it really does stabalise my lower back. However I am disappointed that the suggested modifications to the red ends of the tightening straps that would make the belt more comfortable that I (and I note from reviews) other people have suggested, have not been taken on board. I will have to cut the the straps myself to prevent the ends rubbing on and breaking the skin. Please do look at this.

This belt has been very helpful to me. It is strong and supportive. The problem I find is that the ends of the straps dig in. The red ends are too wide. If the ends tapered I think it would be a lot more comfortable.

This is the second belt I have purchased, of this type! I find them amazingly good! This time I just need that little bit of support to stop it getting worse*. Previously, I was struck in the back by a woman 'running' with a loaded trolley of tins and suchlike in a Supermarket and after trying 2 other back supports I found this one excellent. * I am using it when I feel I am likely to be have quite heavy shopping which I need to bring in from the Car. Thank you. So glad you still stock this item!
