TumbleCare Bed Leaving Alarm System With Pager

The TumbleCare Bed Leaving Alarm System With Pager is designed to provide effective fall management and prevent elderly or disable individuals from wandering out of bed. The system detects the shift in weight when an individual moves to leave their bed, then sends a wireless signal to the pager, alerting carers that aid is needed. This system is of professional grade and is suitable for both home and professional use, or in any care setting where patients are at an increased risk of wandering or falling.

What's Included In My Purchase?

  • 1 x Sensor transmittor
  • 1 x Radio pager
  • 1 x Bed sensor pad
  • All required batteries

How Does the TumbleCare Alarm System Work?

Designed to alert a carer when a patient leaves their bed, the TumbleCare Alarm System operates with three different components. The bed sensor pad is placed under the patient's mattress, and detects their presence or the shift in weight when they leave the bed. The alarm control transmitter then sends a radio signal to the carer's pager, which produces an alarm. This system ensures carers are able to reach their patients in due time.

How Will the Pager Alert Me?

The pager can be set to alert carers with a vibrating alarm, or a vibrating and audible alarm. The silent vibrating settings can be used to avoid disturbing other patients during quiet periods, while either low or high tone alarms can be used during busier times to ensure the alert is heard.

What Is the Range of the Transmitter Alarm?

Both the transmitter alarms and the pagers have a transmission range of 100m in open settings. While this may be somewhat diminished indoors, the signal should still be strong enough for carers to be alerted if they are within this range. It is recommended that before use, the pager and sensor be range tested in different parts of the building.

How Quickly Will the Alarm Alert Carers?

The alarm transmitter can be set to respond immediately after a weight shift is detected, or after a delay of 15 or 30 minutes. The delayed settings can be useful in a number of situations. For example, they can give carers time to settle patients into bed before the alarm is properly reset for the night.

How Heavy Is the Pager?

The pager has a weight of only 120g. It can therefore be carried on the person without much hassle and has a strong belt strap for easy transportation.

How Big Is the Bed Sensor Pad?

The dimensions of the sensor pad are 750mm x 450mm x 8mm. This design ensures the resting area of the patient is properly covered, and is suitable for use with most bed and mattress types.

How Durable Is the TumbleCare Alarm System?

All components of the TumbleCare Alarm System, including the pager, sensor pad and alarm transmitter are made from incredibly resilient, hardwearing materials, so you can be sure that they will last long after purchase. The bed sensor pad is chlorine proof better longevity and hygiene maintenance, while the alarm transmitter is supplied with a rubber jacket for an extra layer of protection. This jacket also helps to reduce the risk of shocks during use.

Can This System Monitor Several Patients at Once?

The TumbleCare pager can be paired with 8 separate alarm transmitters. It can therefore be used to monitor up to 8 patients, although additional monitors and sensors are required.

How Will I Know When the Battery Is Low?

Both the pager and the transmitter alarms have LED lights that inform the user of their battery statuses. They are placed clearly on the devices so the warning can be seen as early as possible.
