Designed to aid patients who struggle to move in bed, the Satin SIBA Four-Way Top Draw Sheet Sliding Aid with Handles (200cm x 200cm) can be attached to a hoist to reposition them comfortably and safely. The sheet has an extended length which can be useful for taller patients or those with limited mobility in the upper or lower body.

How Can Carers Use the Top Draw Sheet?

The Top Draw Sheet can be shifted by hand, but also has handles on its sides that can be attached to a hoist for hands-free patient positioning. When placed in top of a satin base sheet, the top sheet will slide smoothly so carers can pull the patient towards one side of the bed, or turn them by lifting the sheet with a hoist.

Does This Draw Sheet Aid Movement In All Directions?

Yes, when placed on top of a SIBA satin base sheet, this draw sheet allows patients to be moved in all four directions as indicated by its white checked markings. They can therefore be turned from side to side, pulled downwards or upwards, and repositioned widthways on the bed. Due to its extended width and length, it offers good leverage so even taller patients can be turned without difficulty.

How Does the Four-Way Bed Sheet Prevent Injury?

The Four-Way Bed Sheet ensures patients can be repositioned safely in bed. The satin on the underside of the sheet slides easily over the satin base sheet so patients can be moved, however the polycotton topside creates friction to stop the patient from slipping out of bed.

Additionally, the handles of the sheet can be attached to a hoist for machine-operated lifting, so carers won't have to risk injury by lifting them patient by hand.
