Fleeced Wheelchair Pressure Relief Cushion and Backrest Cover

The Fleeced Wheelchair Pressure Relief Cushion and Backrest Cover is a honey beige pure wool fleece with strong loops to hook around wheelchair handles. Designed to relieve pressure and prevent the formation of sores and ulcers in the back, hips, thighs and legs, the Pressure Relief Cover softens the cushion of any wheelchair to reduce the impact and strain placed on areas commonly associated with the build up of pressure related tissue damage.

Why Is Pressure Relief Important?

Pressure relief is vital if you are susceptible or assessed as being likely to develop pressure sores or ulcers in the future. If you don't relieve pressure on already present sores and ulcers, or you're not managing the amount of strain and impact on vulnerable areas, tearing, puncturing and even abscesses can develop.

What Does a Pressure Relief Fleece Do?

The Wheelchair Fleece attaches to the back of a wheelchair to cushion the legs and back and relieve the amount of downward force placed on vulnerable areas. With individuals who are stationary for long periods, softening contact areas is a proven way to lower the likelihood of pressure sores and ulcers developing.

Pressure Sore and Ulcer Relief

A soft fabric fleece absorbs a large portion of the downward, abrasive pressure generated when the body comes into contact with a bare cushion. The use of a fleece and cover combination is vital for individuals that cannot change position frequently.

Excellent product and quality. Much improved comfort for my wife in her powered wheelchair ('fitted' by releasing top screws on rear of back rest mounting frame, locating 'fleece' loops between frame and backrest and re-tightening screws to secure in place. Seems to work fine!).

Thank you for your five-star / FIRST CLASS service too - notified of dispatch within about two hours of ordering. Amazing. Received next day (if I remember right). Going to order another 'fleece' for second wheelchair. Thank you.

Wheelchair pressure relief fleece

Very warm and comfortable albeit it is used in a motorised chair and the black handles do not fit on the back bar of the wheelchair so consequently it keeps falling down the back of the wheelchair. Any ideas to fix to a motorised wheelchair

Include word 'wheelchair seat and back pressure cover' to make it clear that it is more than just seat cover

I had been looking for such a chair seat and back cover for husbands chair to protect his back skin in particular and one which could be hooked onto chair back supports to keep it in position.
It has been very successful, however there is one problem. Bob's power chair has a second bar across chair between back sides, which prevents hanging each loop on to side bars. We have solved this by using a strap through each loop then twisting it around the chair cross bar to prevent fleece slipping down in chair.

Would it be possible to provide us with a fleece with each handle loop able to be opened so that we can get it around each chair back side.
Strong Velcro might do it, or a strap and buckle system. Power wheelchairs vary so much in design now that I an sure we are not the only ones with this problem.
I wait to hear from you before placing further order.

I cannot fault this at all: ordered one day, delivered the next! The fleece is a generous size and is secured by 2 loops which go over the wheelchair handles to prevent slipping. Delighted with both the product and the service.
