How Can the Parafricta Single Semi-Fitted Bedsheet Help Me?

The Parafricta Semi-Fitted Mobility Assist Sheet is fitted over the corners of the fabric at the head of the bed, and tucked in at the foot. This aids the placement of the central panel (low-friction fabric) under the trunk, which eases getting into bed and turning whilst laying down. This fabric reduces friction and associated shear to prevent skin breakdown, pressure ulcers and improve comfort.

Who Can Use the Pressure Relief Mobility Assist Sheet?

This product is beneficial for individuals with mobility-limiting conditions, such as Parkinson's Disease and Multiple Sclerosis (MS), who tend to move around whilst sleeping.

How Do I Use the Parafricta PFFMAS Bedsheet?

This bedsheet is supplied with a polycotton rim and a low-friction fabric centre panel. It is important to first ensure that the Parafricta panel is located under the trunk of the user. As this sheet is intended for independent use, the heels should rest on the polycotton rim to aid self-repositioning and pivoting. This is shown in the image below.

How Do I Clean the Parafricta Semi-Fitted Sheet?

Parafricta sheets should be washed in a hot (60ºC) synthetic cycle in a domestic washing machine, or on a 95ºC cycle if maximum sanitisation is required. Line dry or tumble dry on a low, synthetic cycle setting. In a professional laundry, the sheets may be washed on a cycle that includes 70ºC for up to 10 minutes, or at 95ºC cycle if maximum sanitisation is required.
