While a single ramp may be sufficient for small or single steps, it may be necessary to install a full ramp kit where multiple or high steps are present. The Wheelchair RampKit High-Rise Portable Long Ramp Kit has been designed to improve accessibility for people with reduced mobility by combining two stable and folding Aerolight-Xtra Premium Folding Suitcase Wheelchair Ramps with a joining support.

The High-Rise Portable Long Ramp Kit enables all of the benefits of the Aerolight-Xtra ramps to be combined into one height-adjustable ramp. It remains portable and lightweight, ensuring that easier access over numerous or high steps can be provided as and when it is required.

Inexpensive to Use

Replacing steps with a permanent ramp would be costly and messy, and would also be likely to disrupt business. The RampKit combats this by providing a cost-effective portable ramp that can be used over steps in virtually any situation.

It can be used regularly in one location, such as over steps leading to the entrance of a care home, and each ramp can be folded for easy transportation to a new location. This means that it can be deployed whenever required, eliminating the risk of reduced accessibility in public areas.

Suitable for Most Individuals and Businesses

The combined Aerolight-Xtra ramps can accommodate virtually any type of wheelchair, rollator, or scooter, including two- to six-wheel models. This versatility will be particularly useful for care environments, local businesses, and residential homes where any number of individuals with reduced mobility may be required to access the area while relying on a wheeled mobility aid.

Improved Safety

To be as safe as possible, each ramp in the RampKit includes a contrasting colour edge strip and a reflective lip feature to improve safety in situations with lower light. This will be particularly important for when individuals with already-reduced mobility are using the ramp, helping to guide them in the right direction while reducing the risk of tripping over the edges of the ramp.

Adjustable Height

As the RampKit High-Rise Portable Long Ramp Kit has been designed to accommodate high steps, it has been fitted with easy-to-use handle fixings on the joining support for height adjustment. The RampKit is available in a range of lenghts with the following maximum heights:
