Long, wide and stable, the Etac Immedia Butterfly Patient Transfer Aid is ideal for bridging short gaps during seated transfers. The board features a low friction surface and cut-outs to fit into the grooves of a wheelchair. This product can be purchased on its own, or with an Etac GlideWing for additional sliding function.

Who Can Use the Etac Butterfly Transfer Board?

This product is designed for use in acute, long-term and home care environments. It is intended for manual handling a patient with good seated balance. The board is perfect for wheelchair users, due to the cut-outs that fit into their grooves.

How Does the Immedia Butterfly Work?

The glide board is designed to bridge shorter gaps when performing seated transfers, featuring a low-friction upper surface to enable the user to transfer independently or with assistance. It can be used to move to and from a bed, wheelchair, shower chair and more. See the images below for a visual example of how the board works.

Why Might I Need a Butterfly GlideWing?

The Butterfly Board can be used with the GlideWing, by simply mounting it on the board. The GlideWing moves along the board to provide an additional sliding function. You can find a single GlideWing here.
