Keeping in touch with loved ones can be a challenge for the elderly, as it can be difficult to hear conversations, operate complicated telephones and remember important numbers. The Swissvoice Xtra 1110 Amplified Corded Telephone with Photo Buttons is designed to provide maximum comfort to these users, as it's made with a loud 30dB earpiece and six helpful photo buttons to make it simple to contact loved ones at the touch of a button.

Who Can Use the Swissvoice Xtra 1110?

The most simplified phone in the Swissvoice line-up, the Xtra 1110 is designed to be accessible to virtually anyone. The classic corded design is ideal for older users looking for a more traditional phone, while the loud receiver and speed-dial photo buttons make the phone easy-to-use for those with hearing impairments or memory deficits. The large keypad is ideal for use by the visually impaired, making it simple to dial numbers without error.

Keep Loved Ones Close with Photo Buttons

The Xtra 1110 Amplified Telephone features six photo buttons that can be fitted with pictures of those closest to you. This way, you can reach them in the easiest way, without having to memorise their number. One of the photo buttons can also be set to an SOS number, allowing you to contact the authorities in the event of an emergency.

How Do I Apply Photos to the Buttons?

To insert photos into each button, simply remove the button cover and place your photo inside, then replace the cover. Full instructions and a cutting guide can be found in the user manual provided with your phone.

Easy-to-Use Keypad

Dialling is made easy thanks to the large keypad with backlit keys to aid the visually impaired, day or night. To give you the option to store additional two phone numbers, the Xtra 1110 Amplified Telephone also features two one-touch buttons that allow you to contact your top numbers.

Ready for the Digital Switchover

By 2025, all analogue phone lines will be switched off, meaning landline phones will need to be compatible with digital routers and hubs. In preparation for the changeover, all Swissvoice phones are now fully compatible with digital networks. Swissvoice have confirmed that all phones are suitable for a digital network after testing at BT and Talk Talk labs.

Does This Phone Feature an Answering Machine?

No, this phone does not include an answering machine. For the next step up in the Swissvoice line that features an answering machine, we recommend the Swissvoice Xtra 3155 Amplified Phone.

Large Backlighted Incoming Call Indicator

To ensure you truly never miss a phone call, the Swissvoice Amplified Telephone is equipped with a call indicator that lights up when you receive a phone call. This is perfect for the hearing impaired who may otherwise have a difficult time hearing the phone ring. The bright red light at the top right corner is hard to miss, providing an extra failsafe in case the extra-loud 85dB ringer is not enough.

Is the Swissvoice Xtra 1110 Hearing Aid Compatible?

Yes, the Swissvoice 1110 Amplified Telephone is hearing aid compatible. This allows you to pipe crystal clear sound directly into your hearing aid, allowing you to enjoy your conversations at a volume that's right for you.

Does This Phone Require External Power?

The Swissvoice Xtra 1110 is powered via POE (Power Over Ethernet), so it does not need to be plugged into the mains. Simply plug the phone through your standard telephone line to use it!

How to Claim Your VAT Exemption

VAT exemption can be claimed in two ways – either when placing your or order or claiming back the VAT on a purchase that you have already made.

Claiming VAT Exemption When Ordering

To remove the VAT from your order when placing your purchase, simply select the option for VAT relief on the Basket page (see below for an example of how this looks).

Delivery - Free UK Mainland Delivery

Delivery is free of charge on all items at Health and Care when delivered to a mainland UK address. Your order is usually dispatched by Royal Mail or better and is normally dispatched the same day when ordered before 2.00pm, Monday to Friday. For orders placed outside of this timeframe, they should be dispatched on the next working day.

The delivery expectation of order sent via Royal Mail is 1 to 3 working days.

The phone itself is proving excellent for my wife and me, being hard of hearing. But the service given by Health and Care was the icing on the transaction. So, all round - Five Stars!

Bought this for my elderly mum , who’s hard of hearing . She loves it . All set up , so she doesn’t even have to lift the receiver and can just press one button to contact family members . Nice big buttons as well . Super easy and she’s very pleased with it .

Pleased with this phone as the hearing aid loop works well although a couple of people have said that I sound 'faint' so I have had to speak a bit louder.
The only thing I think it needs is a timer so as I dont go over an hour and incur more charges but still a very good phone for the money and shipment was very fast and I was kept up to date with the tracking number.

Simple to use large button phone

My father-in-law has a much older large button phone with similar functionality in the front room and we wanted to add one in his bedroom for him to use if he is ill in the night. The Swissvoice phone is plenty big enough, the buttons are large and have equally large symbols/numbers on them. It is very easy to replace the images in the Photobuttons. The speaker-phone facility is easy to use, and it is useful that the audio-boost can be made as a default setting (via a switch). Having said that the loudness and clarity of the speaker phone is not quite as good as our older phone, although it would be adequate in many situations. The other reason for not giving 5 stars is that some (not all) of the buttons do not have the spring you might expect, i.e. when pressed they do not go down much nor spring back much, giving the phone a cheap 'feel'. The buttons do all work OK despite this reservation. On a positive note the delivery was next day so could not have been better.

Phone arrived within allotted timeframe. Delivered by my friendly local postie.
Phone very easy to set up and install. One touch memory buttons are brilli7⁷ant for my elderly parents - as are the large buttons.
Disappointed with the ringtone level - Mum is deaf in one ear and I really needed it to be LOUD. That said, she has had to turn down the call sound as it was too loud. Call quality very good, very clear.
A longer flex or adapter would be good - as phone has to be at least 1m from tv and doesn't reach across the room to the side table.
2 connectors supplied and cable - no explanation with these?
All in All very pleased with the phone.
