Product Details

Sharpsguard Orange 22L RA High-Volume Sharps Container (Case of 5)

As hospitals and other medical environments can often generate a lot of clinical and potentially harmful waste, it is important to ensure that correct storage and disposal systems are in place. The Sharpsguard Orange 22L RA High-Volume Sharps Container (Case of 5) conforms to BS EN ISO 23907:2012, enabling the safe storage of sharps for incineration.

Please note that the Orange 22L Sharps Containers are not suitable for sharps contaminated with medicinal products.

Practical Design

The Sharpsguard Orange 22L Sharps Container has been designed to provide a safer method of storing sharps for incineration in larger capacities. The solid structure enables a larger capacity, providing storage for up to twenty-two litres of sharps waste at any one time. This will be particularly useful for theatres, laboratories, and sluice rooms, where high volumes of waste can be produced.

Each container also includes an orange lid to allow for colour coding. This will provide a visual prompt for eliminating the chance of objects being placed in the incorrect containers. The label on the front of the container will also provide improved safety, with space for writing information including the container's location, department, and start date.

Ideal for Versatile Use

As the Orange 22L Sharps Container is larger in size to enable maximum capacity, it can be used in a wide range of situations. It is ideal for hospitals and wards where the frequent disposal of sharps is required, and the restricted access lid means that it will be a safer option for use in areas with high public access.

Standards Conformity

The Sharps Container conforms to BS EN ISO 23907:2012 'Sharps injury protection - Requirements and test methods - Sharps containers'. This means that it meets the specifications required by the standard for the disposal of sharps that have not been contaminated by medicinal products.

Conforming to the standard will help provide assurance that the Sharpsguard Orange 22L is a safe and reliable option for storing sharps for incineration in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
