Jura Wrist And Thumb Brace

The Jura Wrist And Thumb Brace is made from dual compression elastic that's thin enough to feel comfortable while improving circulation, with the added benefit of an adjustable aluminium palmar bar and thumb stay for additional joint support.

How Easy Is the Wrist and Thumb Brace to Apply and Remove?

Thanks to the simple and easy hook-and-loop fastenings, this support is easy to apply and remove. The elasticated material and variety of sizes mean it will always be a good fit and the simplicity of the fastenings means that you can even put it on and remove it one-handed, which is ideal for those with an injured wrist. 

How Does Compression Elastic Assist the Healing Process?

Compression braces are used to apply pressure to a specific area or injury. By preventing excess fluids from gathering at the site of the injury, they help minimise swelling. They have also been shown to reduce long-term pain and improve blood circulation.

Delivery is free of charge on all items at Health and Care when delivered to a mainland UK address. Your order is usually dispatched by Royal Mail or better and is normally dispatched the same day when ordered before 2.00pm, Monday to Friday. For orders placed outside of this timeframe, they should be dispatched on the next working day.

The delivery expectation of order sent via Royal Mail is 1 to 3 working days.

A decent hand brace at last

Following a trapezectomy operation, a small bone is removed from the base of the thumb, I had a really bad time with the plastic brace supplied by the hospital following removal of the plaster cast 12 days after the operation. No matter what I did, how I padded the operation site, it was extremely painful and remained swollen. Then I found this Jura Wrist and thumb brace and it was like a transformation. The rigid support was perfect but NOT over the operation site like a lot of braces are. The support to the hand and wrist relaxed my hand so much that within just a few days the swelling had gone down and the real healing began. I’m now at eight weeks and only use it during the night or if my hand is tender after using it a lot. I cannot recommend this brace enough.

The service was excellent. I was encouraged to check I was ordering the correct size, with the product delivered promptly as promised. The brace is an excellent fit and extremely supportive. I already had a right brace which I value.

A good value brace

The brace does what it says. The thumb spica is particularly helpful if it's used to relieve carpal tunnel symptoms. It's less porous than previous Jura braces I've had, so the skin does perspire a little. It's excellent value nonetheless and does a great job. (The website shows a black brace, but a neutral colour was supplied)

Fix like a glove

Quality product, holds thumb joint in place and stops any movement in wrist, I use this daily for work as my job involves grabbing and lifting boxes up to 30kg, hoping in long run will reduce swelling in joints,
