How Do I Use the Alerta Wireless Mat and Receiver?
The Alerta Wall Point Receiver and Chair Mat can be quickly paired for round-the-clock fall protection and care. Once you've paired them, the sensor mat will send a signal whenever it is stepped or fallen on. This will trigger the receiver's alarm if you're using it as a standalone system, or an alarm will be sent through to a nurse call system if your receiver is connected to one.

The Alerta Chair Mat and Receiver bundle is an ideal option for anyone who's looking for a comprehensive fall-alarm care system. Both the mat and receiver can be used as part of a nurse call system for multiple patients, or as a standalone system for residential care. This means it's perfect for use by a range of carers to immediately alert them when a patient urgently needs their help.

Where Can You Place the Fall Alarm System?
The Alerta Chair Sensor Mat is most effective when placed on top of a chair as shown below. It can also be concealed beneath a blanket for enhanced comfort. Because the mat is completely wireless, it can also be used with wheelchairs, allowing carers to ensure safety across multiple rooms in a care home or hospital. Placement of the mat is possible under the cushions of some chairs, providing the cushions are particularly light and thin.
To ensure best results, the Wall Point Receiver should be placed within a 95m range of the mat. The maximum range will depend on the type of building materials and number of obstructions, but should provide more than enough range for the majority of care settings. It can be plugged into the mains using a range of plug types (these can be selected from the menu at the top of the page) or battery-powered.
Is the Sensor Mat Easy to Clean?
The Alertamat is designed to ensure the highest hygiene standards can be maintained. To facilitate this, the mat is made from anti-bacterial materials and a smooth, easy-wipe surface for simple cleaning and disinfection. This ensures carers can continue to keep their patients safe and protected from falls and bacteria.
How Do I Use the Wireless Receiver As a Standalone System?
As well as being great for use in a nurse call system, the Alerta Wireless Receiver can also be utilised as a standalone option. This makes it perfect for residential care and in smaller care home settings, with the mat sending a signal directly to the receiver to sound the alarm. This also allows the carer to carry the Alerta Wall Point Receiver with them as they attend to other tasks, as seen in the image below.
Can I Connect the Receiver to Other Sensors?
As well as connecting to the Chair Pressure Mat, the Alerta Wall Point Wireless Receiver can also be paired with up to five other devices to create a multi-patient fall prevention system. Once you've paired the receiver with other Alerta devices, it will only interact with the intended wireless devices and won't interfere with other receivers in operation.
