Knowing that a patient who’s at risk of falling or wandering is in bed is an important aspect of care. The TumbleCare Cordless Non-Slip Floor Pressure Mat Sensor with Alarm Pager (UFMTPAG31) provides a cordless two in one solution for preventing falls and wandering.

What Does the TumbleCare Floor Pressure Mat Do?

The TumbleCare Bed-Leaving Mat is placed on the floor next to a patient’s bed and detects when they get up or fall. If the user steps or lands on the mat, a signal is sent to a receiver which sets off the alarm pager. These devices are perfect for those caring for someone with dementia, cognitive issues or those at risk of falls.

How Does the TumbleCare Cordless Mat Work?

The floor pressure mat is activated when a user falls or stands on it. This sends a signal to the alarm and alerts a carer that the user is out of bed.

When used on their own or with other compatible devices (see below for more details), the TumbleCare Pressure Mat and Alarm create an intuitive care system that’s easy to set up and use. This makes it suitable for both caring in the home and in professional care environments.

Where Should I Place My Pressure Mat and Alarm?

Simply place your pressure mat next to the user's bed. If the user has a double bed, we suggest placing the mat on the side they lie on. Your wireless alarm pager fits snugly in your pocket and has a range of 50-75m from the transmitter.
