How Does the TumbleCare Kit Work?

This kit includes two parts: a floor pressure mat and a pager with sound and vibration alerts. The mat can be placed where it is most likely to be stepped on, such as in front of a chair or by a door, making it ideal for people that wander or who are at risk of falls if they try to stand up unaided.

If the patient stands or falls on the mat, this will send a signal to the pager. You can programme the pager to send either an audio alert or a vibration, which will notify you that assistance may be required.

How Does the Pager Provide An Alert?

You can set the pager to alert you with an audible tone and vibration, or just by vibration only. While the adjustable volume of the audio alert is ideal for busy environments during the daytime, the ability to set the pager to vibration-only mode means that you can patrol a residential home at night without risking waking up other patients with a loud alert.

How Large Is the Pressure Mat?

The TumbleCare Floor Pressure Mat measures 120 x 60cm. This is a generous surface area that's ideal for placing in front of a chair, by a bed, or in the entrance of a doorway to help to ensure that the alarm will be triggered if the patient wanders or attempts to get up unaided.

How Hygienic Is the Pressure Mat?

The TumbleCare Pressure Mat is made from antimicrobial materials to help to keep it clean during use. It also means that, if the mat is placed by a front or back door, it will remain more hygienic if debris from outside is brought in onto the mat.

How Safe Is the Large Floor Pressure Mat?

The Large Floor Pressure Mat features a non-slip surface and mouldings to help to keep it in place. As it is wireless with the transmitter built into it, it means that there is no risk of the patient tripping over any loose wiring.
