ProCare Shoulder Immobiliser with Foam Straps

Following an injury to the shoulder and/or elbow joints, it's integral that you support and immobilise the area to prevent further discomfort and injury. The ProCare Shoulder Immobiliser with Foam Straps is made from soft cotton and poly material so you remain comfortable during the rehabilitation process, meaning you can wear the sling for as prolonged periods without discomfort. The sling is designed to exert upward pressure on the joints, making it particularly useful for dislocations of the shoulder that require a high level of support and stability.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Constructed with soft cotton and poly for patient comfort
  • Designed to exert upward pressure to improve stability
  • Immobilises your arm and shoulder to reduce discomfort
  • Features plush foam laminate waist and shoulder straps
  • Made with a contact closure for ease of application and adjustment
  • Fits either the left or the right arm for added versatility
  • Available in five different sizes to suit your needs

Indications for the Arm Sling

The Shoulder Immobiliser stabilises and supports your arm and shoulder, holding it in a neutral position to reduce discomfort and improve your outcome. Indications include the following:

  • Immobilisation of the shoulder and elbow
  • Rotator cuff injuries
  • Shoulder luxations
  • Shoulder subluxations
  • Support of the shoulder and elbow joints

Comfortable Design

Constructed from soft cotton and poly, the Shoulder Immobiliser Sling helps you remain comfortable even when you're wearing the support for long periods. The waist and shoulder straps are made from plush foam laminate to reduce pressure on the areas, allowing you to feel at ease during use.

The comfortable nature of the support helps ensure it can be used for long periods of time, making it useful for chronic or repeat conditions that cause subluxations. This includes Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) and chronic shoulder instability. Suitable for either the left of the right arm, the support is highly versatile for chronic conditions.

Comfortable and handy arm/shoulder sling

By far a much more supportive sling than the one given to me after my surgery. It's very easy to work out your routine of using it with the handy velcro fastening. Very handy and very comfortable post-operation piece of kit.

I was so happy to receive this sling, easy to put in and it helped to keep my shoulder and arm in place and immobilised... far better than the one from the hospital, great service too...

Having dislocated my shoulder and been given a totally useless strap of foam (literally, just a strap!) by the NHS, I bought this sling after reading about various options and it has been a wonderful relief, supporting my arm and shoulder perfectly - and it's a lot less hot and sweaty than one made totally of synthetic fabric. I have even been able to sleep in it, though slackened off a little. My one tiny niggle of annoyance is that the straps tend to pull the sliders out of shape at the sides. It is minor, however, and does not affect the support it gives.

Tip: If in any doubt, order the next size up. The first one we bought was too small, despite my husband measuring my arm accurately. I believe this is because I am overweight and have a big bust - it probably fits slimmer people more accurately.

Very good product, fast delivery and much better Velcro fastening than NHS sling. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that it could do with a Velcro fastening in the middle of the pouch to keep inside from slipping sometimes. Otherwise very pleased.

I recently had day surgery for rotator cuff injury. I realised I had been given no instructions as to how to deal with the sling. After 3 days of frustrating phone calls to hospital etc I was in a lot of discomfort and the NHS sling was doing nothing. I ordered your sling which was delivered very quickly and I have been wearing it comfortably ever since. Great service and item
