Using a unique air pressure sensor, the mattress can automatically detect pressure and react accordingly.
Cell-on-cell air cell technology enables catered pressure relief across the whole body
This helps to promote a natural sleeping pattern for the user and encourage more stable blood circulation. This can be altered and set up using the simple control panel that is supplied with the mattress. In using a microcomputer regulator to provide ultra-low interface pressure, this mattress is one of our most high-tech, reactive and effective pressure relief products.
How Do You Use the Alerta Alternating Pressure Relief Mattress?

The settings that can be adjusted include the level of inflation, cycle time and weight control – all designed to offer a highly specific level of pressure relief that cannot be found anywhere else. Can the Alerta Bariatric Pressure Relief Mattress Prevent Pressure Sores?
If a patient uses the Alerta Bariatric Pressure Relief Mattress, it won't take long before any pain from pressure sores have been diminished. The mattress is designed to ensure that the air in the cells is completely equal so that any pressure that the user feels on the mattress is evenly distributed.
As a result, the main causes of pressure sores which are friction and pressure are significantly reduced. Blood in the body can then flow freely and uninterrupted, which prevents any damage to tissue and cells.
Should the Alerta Mattress be Used to Treat Pressure Sores?
Pressure sores develop when the blood flow in an affected area is interrupted, usually because a patient will spend too much time in a single position without adequate seating. The Pressure Relief Mattress is designed to both prevent pressure sores, and ensure that pressure sores are given the space and time to recover. By removing the pressure felt on the sore, it means that it will begin to recover as the main cause of its being has been removed.
