What Is the SleepKnit Top Sheet?

The SleepKnit Top Sheet is designed to be laid on top of a single bed as a barrier between the person and the duvet. The sheet promises user comfort and safety, making it ideal for hospital and care home profiling and dynamic airflow beds, but can also be used for general beds at home.

Features Smart-Sheet Design for Greater Flexibility 

The SleepKnit Top Sheet is designed with SmartSheet technology, which is made to ensure greater flexibility in order to fit a range of healthcare mattresses, including profiling beds and pressure reduction mattresses. They feature a polycotton multi-directional stretch material that can be pulled every which way without sustaining damage or snagging.

Unique Toe-Pleat Design

SleepKnit top bed sheets feature two fitted corners at the base with extra fabric on the width to create a unique toe pleat. This design assists in the prevention of pressure sores in users by increasing space for feet whilst also giving excellent comfort and warmth.

Semi-Fitted Sheet Design

For versatility, the SleepKnit top bed sheet can be used in two ways:

• Open fit: The top sheet can be left open by folding the sheet back on itself at the bottom of the bed leaving the sheet totally open with easy access to the feet for the staff e.g. in podiatry or orthopaedics or surgery units and in longer term facilities particularly for patients with dementia.

• Tucked in for a closed bed: The top sheet can be tucked in for patients who prefer it that way or staff wish to make the bed by neatly tucking it in. The sheet has extra fabric at the bottom which acts as a "toe pleat" giving plenty room for the feet to move around even when tucked in.
