Product Details

Dura Soft Additional Ice Insert

The Dura Soft Additional Ice Insert provides continuous cold or hot therapy for the treatment of injuries or post operative use.

The Dura Soft Additional Ice Insert is for use with Dura Soft ice wraps including the knee, shoulder or foot and ankle wraps to provide therapy where you need it the most.

The Dura Soft Additional Ice Insert offers effective cryotherapy which can reduce pain and swelling, and can also facilitate faster rehabilitation and can effectively penetrate surgical dressings to decrease pain, swelling and secondary hypoxic tissue injury.

Instructions for use of the Dura Soft Additional Ice Insert

Place gel inserts in the resealable bag and place in the freezer until the gel inserts are frozen solid.
Remove the gel inserts from the resealable bag when frozen and place the inserts into the wrap.
Apply wrap to area of treatment by attaching hook or Velcro fastener to outer wrap fabric. The straps should be applied with enough stretch to keep wrap in place and provide desired compression.
The inserts can be cleaned with water, a moist towel or sponge.
The gel inserts can also be used to provide heat therapy. Place the gel inserts in a deep pan and run hot tap water into the pan until inserts are covered. Keep the inserts immersed for 3-5 minutes, do not use tap water that is too hot to the touch, dry the gel inserts and apply as above.

Can I Remove the Inserts from the White Packaging?

The DuraSoft Ice Inserts are not designed to be removed from the white packaging. The complete insert, including the white packaging, should be placed in a resealable bag before freezing (please refer to the instructions above).

Delivery is free of charge on all items at Health and Care when delivered to a mainland UK address. Your order is usually dispatched by Royal Mail or better and is normally dispatched the same day when ordered before 2.00pm, Monday to Friday. For orders placed outside of this timeframe, they should be dispatched on the next working day.

The delivery expectation of order sent via Royal Mail is 1 to 3 working days.

Perfect for post surgery

Came home from hospital after TKJR with 2 of these ice packs , the others makes that I bought were nowhere near as good as the furs soft ones so I got two more, they were delivered so fast and I am so grateful as they help so much with keeping my knee comfortable ! Great product ! Great service ! Thank you .

Unfortunately this product My husband found un comfortable on the knee. When frozen it wouldn’t bent around the knee like a pack of peas would do! I wouldn’t buy or recommend this product again. The service was satisfactory from the company

Worth having an extra one

Although the sleeve comes with a spare insert, at times it was very useful to have this as a third spare to ensure the inserts were sufficiently frozen before they were needed again. The corners would be better if they were rounded off (we carefully rounded them with scissors) as the sharp corners tend to scratch the skin when they poke out from the sleeve. For this reason we only give it a 4, though it's easily enough dealt with and 4.5 would be fair.

This product is a must for anyone who is having a total knee replacement!!!
My progress since using the sleeve has been incredible. Walking with no pain and no limp in less than 3 weeks.
