Tennis Elbow Epicondylitis Jura Clasp

The Tennis Elbow Epicondylitis Jura Clasp is designed to reduce the pain and discomfort associated with elbow tendonopathies, more commonly known as tennis or golfer's elbow. The Jura Clasp features a closure system with a scale that shows how tightly you have fastened it, helping you avoid over-tightening and assisting with consistent application.

How Does the Jura Clasp Help With Elbow Pain?

The clasps of this wrist brace apply pressure to the muscles below the elbow, changing the angle at which the tendon is pulling, which relieves pain from repetitive motion strains and other ligament based issues. It can also help relieve the pain or discomfort from joint based conditions such as arthritis. 

Sizing of the Tennis Elbow Epicondylitis Jura Clasp

Measure the circumference of the widest part of the forearm in cm and refer to the sizing table below.

Fitting the Tennis Elbow Epicondylitis Jura Clasp

The Tennis Elbow Epicondylitis Jura Clasp is easy to fit by yourself and does not require any assistance. Please see the fitting instructions below for details.

  1. Open the elastic strap fully.
  2. Apply the Jura Clasp to the forearm area with the larger pad on the outside of the arm and the clasp contouring the back of the forearm.
  3. Whilst applying minimal force, pull the elastic strap across the arm and position the white arrow on the scale between 1-10, to the desired level of compression. Ensure the hook and loop fastening is secure.
  4. Make a record of the position to aid repeated accurate fitting of the brace.
  5. The Jura Clasp can be fitted to the left or right arm.

Can I Wash the Jura Clasp?

The Jura clasp is completely machine washable, making it perfect for physically demanding activities such as sports. 

Who Can Benefit From the Jura Elbow Clasp?

  • If you've suffered a muscle tear recently then an elbow clasp can assist with the healing process. It's best to get a tear diagnosed with an MRI or sonogram to be certain that's what is the issue
  • Anyone who regularly plays sport such as golf or tennis, the Jura elbow clasp can help protect you from the harm caused by repetitive, dynamic and forceful motions
  • If you have elbow pain or arthritis but still need to engage in short term strenuous activity such as home repairs, gardening or moving furniture then the Jura Clasp could help mitigate pain and reduce the chances of injury.

Delivery is free of charge on all items at Health and Care when delivered to a mainland UK address. Your order is usually dispatched by Royal Mail or better and is normally dispatched the same day when ordered before 2.00pm, Monday to Friday. For orders placed outside of this timeframe, they should be dispatched on the next working day.

The item arrived quickly, was well packaged - it comes in a tub with a spare strap, and reasonably priced. I have a Medium Juraclasp already, but unfortunately have gone up a size. Whenever I over-use my arm - this time it was fence panel painting, (it doesn't have to be tennis or golfers elbow) I put the Juraclasp on until the pain has completely gone away. I have had a Juraclasp for years, and it always works for me. There are a lot of cheaper versions out there, but I would always buy Juraclasp.

I bought this to help with my persistent tennis elbow, and despite being from healthcare, I struggled to work out how to put it on. Still not sure how you can easily tell which number the strap finishes at when it's round the back of my arm. But it does what is says on the tin and is easy to move further down, around your wrist say, during rest periods if you're wearing a jumper.
