How Do I Use the Alerta Wireless Button and Receiver?
The Alerta Wall Point Receiver and Nurse Call Button allow patients to instantly alert carers if they're in distress. As soon as they press the device's button, the wireless transmitter will send a signal to the Wall Point Receiver. This will set off an alarm on the receiver if used as a standalone system, or signal an alert through the connected nurse call system. This ensures caregivers can quickly and effectively come to the patient's aid.
Who Can Use the Wireless Button and Receiver?
The Alerta Call Button and Receiver bundle are a must-have for any carer who is worried about a patient's safety due to falls, confusion or dementia. Both the nurse call button and receiver can be used as part of a nurse call system for multiple patients, or as a standalone system for residential care. This means it's perfect for use by a range of carers to immediately alert them when a patient is in need of help.

Where Can You Place the Nurse Call Alarm System?
The Wireless Nurse Call Button is best placed in a fixed position next to the patient's bed, or when worn around the neck using the lanyard. Placing it here will ensure a patient can quickly alert carers to any panic or distress, with this also ensuring they can't lose track of where it is.
To ensure best results, the Wall Point Receiver should be placed within a 95m range of the call button. The maximum range will depend on the type of building materials and number of obstructions but should provide more than enough range for the majority of care settings. It can be plugged into the mains using a range of plug types (these can be selected from the menu at the top of the page) or battery-powered.
How Do I Use the Wireless Receiver As a Standalone System?
The Alerta Wireless Receiver works brilliantly as part of a nurse call system. However, it is also ideal for use as a standalone option. This makes it perfect for residential care and smaller care home settings, with the nurse call button sending a signal directly to the receiver to sound the alarm as soon as it's pressed. This also allows the carer to carry the Alerta Wall Point Receiver with them as they attend to other tasks, as seen in the image below.
Can I Connect the Receiver to Other Sensors?
As well as connecting to the Nurse Call Button, the Alerta Wall Point Wireless Receiver can also be paired with up to five other devices to create a multi-patient nurse call system. Once you've paired the receiver with other Alerta devices, it will only interact with the intended wireless devices and won't interfere with other receivers in operation.
