The Cromptons Flat Slide Sheets are specially designed to be used with hospital patients with limited mobility. The Slide Sheets enable safer patient handling and movement while helping to reduce the risk of bed-related injuries such as pressure sores. 

Can I Re-Use the Sheets?

While these sheets are disposable, they can be used multiple times on a single patient during their stay at hospital. If lightly soiled, they may be wiped clean using a diluted chlorine-based solution or sterilisation fluid. Despite this, they are not suitable for laundering.

Low-Friction Transtex Fabric 

The Cromptons Flat Slide Sheets are specially designed using a lightweight, silicone-based material called Transtex. This fabric provides a smooth, low-friction surface layer that is coated on both sides to enable easier use when moving or turning a patient while they are in bed.

How Do I Use the Slide Sheets?

These sheets can be used in pairs to facilitate easy sliding, or alternatively, they can be folded in half. All procedures should be undertaken using the attached handles, and it is recommended that all patient manoeuvres be accomplished by sliding the patient without lifting.
