When used alongside the Flexicare Double Bed Top Sheet, the Flexicare Base Sliding Sheet can make in-bed patient positioning safer and more dignified for both carers and patients. Created to aid patients with poor in-bed mobility, the base sheet provides a slippery surface for the top sheet to slide over so patients can be moved from side to side, up and down, swivelled, turned or helped into an upright position.

How Does the Four-Way Base Sheet Protect Patients?

The base sheet is large enough to accommodate most standard single beds, and ensures the patient's entire body can be positioned in one fluid movement, protecting their head and neck from injury. The base sheet also has a partially convertible central panel which can be secured on one side during some manoeuvres, then tucked back for others, so patients don't fall out of bed.
