How Do I Use the Roho Contour Cushion?
The Roho Cushion is simple to use, with a hand inflation pump that allows you to provide a catered level of pressure. You place the cushion on a wheelchair or chair, and then pump air into the cushion until at a level that suits the requirements of the client. More air will lead to a firmer cushion, while less air will provide more of a spongy feel.

What is ISOFLO Memory Technology?
ISOFLO Memory Technology is what makes Roho so trusted. By locking air in different compartments within the cushion, you can ensure the patient stays in the centre, while providing equally distributed postural support and high stability.
How Does the Contour Select Pressure Relief Cushion Work?
The Contour Pressure Relief Cushion works by positioning the pelvis in the centre of the cushion, while the hand inflation pump pumps air equally into each of the four compartments. This will help to provide stability to ensure the patient stays in the centre. ISOFLO Memory Control then locks the air to prevent air escaping, which minimises side-to-side and front to back motion.
Can The Cushion be Adjusted by the User or Carer?
The Roho Select Cushion can be adjusted easily by both the user and the carer. However, we advise that you consult your GP, consultant or physiotherapist before purchase, and get a recommendation on the level of pressure relief that is applicable to you.
Will the Contour Select Cushion Help Sores to Heal?
Using pressure relief equipment is key to pressure injury recovery because normal chairs can reduce the blood flow that the affected area receives. The Contour Select Cushion will help to improve blood flow to the affected area by giving skin the time to breathe. This will help to speed up the rate of recovery, while also reducing any pain and irritability that the pressure sore is bringing.
Will the Contour Select Cushion Prevent Sores from Developing?
The Roho Cushion will prevent sores from developing as it uses equally distributed pressure to ensure the lowest possible level of force between the client and the cushion is provided. This also reduces a swaying and rocking motion in the client, and minimises friction, one of the core causes of pressure sores.
How Comfortable is the Roho Contour Pressure Relief Cushion?
The Pressure Relief Cushion is extremely comfortable for the user, as their weight is evenly distributed across the the cushion. Air helps to balance the user, while the innovative design prevents friction and swaying. As a result, the cushion is one of the most comfortable pressure relief cushions on the market, ensuring stress free recovery and prevention.
Is the Roho Cushion Suitable for Bariatric Patients?
The Roho Cushion is suitable for bariatric patients, with no limit on the weight of the patient. However, there is a limit on the size of the patient, as only a select number of sizes are available. Please see the bottom of the page for further sizing information.
Is the Contour Cushion Industry Standard?
The Contour Select Pressure Relief Cushion is widely used within the NHS and care industry due to their excellent pressure relieving qualities. Roho products are used and trusted by practitioners worldwide, meaning that you can put your trust into Roho.
Can the Roho Contour Select Cushion be Used Out of the House?
The Roho Cushion is lightweight, weighing just 1.6kg, or 3.6lbs. This makes it extremely portable, easy to transport, and easy to fit into a wheelchair. As a result, the Contour Select cushion can be used on a wheelchair in outdoor locations.
